main haunt was pretty good but save your money on the hayride.
The hayride sucked ....storyline,monsters,the whole thing. The main house was pretty good though and the 3d house was better then expected. I don't care for 3d houses so since i did get startled a few times i was impressed.

UUUGGGG, I was really dissappointed this year. First of all I dont know what all the "Michael Jackson and Thriller" talk is because there was NOTHING of what they are advertising. The scull at the beginning sings a little and then some kid was hanging his head over the railing. That was it! It was alittle better this year as in they didnt make us carry flash lights like last year but it was soooo loud (as in annoying not good loud) and the monsters just "yelled" at you and if your good at what you do you dont need to do that. There were 6 of us in a group and the first 2 people got a few scares but then that was it. They made no effort for the rest of the group. I felt cheated. Then at the end the feature that they had has worked in the past because they did it another way, well this year it had no effect accept for affecting your hearing. LITTERALLY! we thought they blew our eardrums. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 6.
If money is an issue spend it at Waukesha, we did them and they were AWESOME. Plus dont forget West Allis CHARGES YOU FOR PARKING!!!!! I WAS SOOOOO MAD. I really felt like I wasted my money that night.

Wisconsin Fear Grounds is by far the BEST haunt in Wisconsin. We do the rounds every year and none of them ever come close to this.We hit West Allis Hauntfest first and I thought maybe I was "desencitized" from all these haunted houses only to be REDEEMED by Waukesha! They are obviously so good at what they do that we were constantly scared and had alot of fun. We had a group of 5 and sometimes the last 2 or 3 people get ripped off on scares but again not at Waukesha, they are constantly comming out of nowhere and getting you. Looks like they take alot of pride in what they do because even the makeup is detailed and they never "scream in your ear" to "try" and scare you, it all seems pretty natural for them which gives you an even more erie feeling. The Unstable addition is AWSOME and what they added back from years ago at the beginning (I dont want to ruin the surprise)is a must in and of itself. This is the only haunt that I have ever gone twice to because when I invite friends I know they wont be dissapointed.
We totally took advantage of the coupons because obviously money is tighter this year but I really wouldnt be able to pick one house over the other. If money is an issue the best advice I can give is to forget about the others in town and focus your $$$ on these because its WELL worth it. No one can touch this one. If they scared me, your in for a treat because it takes alot and I am a 45 year old pettite woman. Have fun
