The Haunted Barn in Stoughton, Wisconsin was awesome. The detail of the barn was a work of art. And the maze was great too. It like having two attraction in one. They have really good cast of actors. We really in joyed it. Liked the setup. Hate to see it end.
Highly recommend going and seeing it. Best I ever been to.

We went last night and it was awful.... the actors were horrible (many were kids who just yelled in your ear when you walked by)...the scenes all looked cheap....there was no line queuing so everyone was on top of each other. I think that they were trying to make the haunt much longer than it needed to be, instead of concentrating on just putting together a quality haunt. We went to 4 haunts last night and this was by far the worst....

It's pretty bad when other (nearby) haunts play this game. We know who you are, and will be discussing this with the owner of the haunt. We play nice with other respectable haunts which you are not a part of. Unfortunately you boys like to play games. Don't even listen to this Moron, as there is no way that he could visit the "six" haunts he claimed to have visited in one night. And, funny how he is the only one who had a bad experience? I will see you at YOUR haunt next weekend.

I agree that I was a bit harsh. I didn't know the history of the haunted barn and that it was their last year. Looking back, I think that they had a great value for the length of the haunt. It's easy to forget that as a 41 year old horror and Halloween enthusiast, I'm not they typical haunted house customer. The people that run it are fans just like me. I know that we still had fun, and so did the people around us. I also should mention that they had the largest crowd, by far. I hate to see any haunt cease to operate after so long, as it's less haunts for us to visit at Halloween. Kudos to Larry and his crew for doing it all these years. It's a lot of work and nobody does it for the money. I hope maybe they'll change their minds and give it another run. I know that's its hard for people like us to stay away.
