"Sleuths, Heroes, Villains & Vamps" is the annual costume ball fundraiser for Stand Back Ltd., a Wisconsin nonprofit organization. This event kicks off our 3 year campaign to raise funds for an artist incubator complex. The F/X Experience provides studio space, a gallery, an educational facility, and functioning attraction to artists and technicians in film, theater, and entertainment.
Kostia Efimov (Daryl Steurmer Band) leads off the evening's entertainment in the Elephant Room Lounge burning up the ivories of the baby grand piano with torchy jazz standards.
The Revomatics queue up in the adjacent President's room with high octane tiki-chic surf music that's sure to have you dancing in 0-60 seconds!
A makeup team from Cirque F/X (Chicago) will apply special effects makeup, demo-style, to 6 costume designers who've created a garment specially for this event.
Jen Cintron will be on hand to give tarot card readings. Will your future hold love, fortune, or fame? Jen reveals all.
Award-winning Tom Burgermeister performs tableside magic and sleight of hand. We challenge you to figure out how he does it. Tom materializes at 8:30 and vaporizes at 10:30.
If that isn't enough, get really creative with the costume you'll wear to the ball and you may win--big. We're putting up 10% of the door (up to $800) in cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place characters.
Raffles, auctions, games, and--Great Lakes Distillery will be on hand with tastings. We're featuring their spirits in our Drink Specials: The Deerstalker, Whiskey Bravo, Molotov Cocktail, and The Bloody Vamp. Buy/keep our Apocalypse glass and get discounts off of refills.

Take I794 east to downtown Milwaukee. Exit Jackson/Van Buren and take the left lane turn to get onto Van Buren. Keep to the left hand lane and follow Van Buren to Mason Street (next street past Wisconsin). Turn left. Drive 4 blocks (west) on Mason to Broadway. Milwaukee Athletic Club is on your right. Turn right on Broadway (stay in RH lane) to access the MAC's driveway on the north end of the building. Parking available inside the structure on the MAC's property.
