Annual Trick-or-Treat Policy
On August 11, the Pleasant Prairie Village Board approved a policy for scheduling Trick-or-Treat each year. This policy follows the traditional practice in the Village, holding Trick-or-Treat on the Sunday before Halloween from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., unless Halloween falls on a Saturday or Sunday. In that case, Trick-or-Treat will take place on Halloween.
This schedule supports safety by holding the activity during daylight hours when visibility is better. It also accommodates the mix of neighborhoods, as some rural areas do not have sidewalks and may have limited street lighting. Establishing this policy sets a consistent schedule that will allow for earlier communication to residents and inclusion in the annual Village Calendar.
Remember to turn your porch lights on if you're handing out candy & treats.
