Real Investigators V.S. Other Investigators

What I mean by this is many claim to be "a real paranormal investigator" but few are true to this term. If people are experiencing paranormal phenomena and are looking for a group to take your case these are things to be aware of and cautious about. I use the term "pro" and "con" for the fact that these terms can't be any more literal. Groups that use the "pro" guidlines for their group are "pros" those who go by the "con" guidlines are most likely "cons" and need to be stayed away from.

Pros

- No charge (if asked to travel long distances the group may have to ask for something, or if special skills are used ie:medium but only if group has worked with them in past and is only and option never a must)

- Will allow clients to stay in building (with guidlines)

- Will preform research on property

- Will have interview

- Will allow clients to keep any and all findings of the investigation

- Will allow client to be confidential (location not disclosed)

- Will admit they don't know everything about the paranormal

- Will admit most everything involved in the paranormal is theories

- Will admit when they haven't worked with certain equipment

Cons

- Charge for services (even if they are in the same zip code, and make you use their medium)

- No clients on site no matter what

- No research

- No start up process with client will call to just set up time for investigation

- Will not allow clients to keep any information stating it is owned by the group

- Will make everything public no choice of confidential

- Will state they know everything about the paranormal and don't have anything new to learn

- Will say that the paranormal has been "proved" (well unless I can hear or see the same result come out of different locations I don't believe it)

- Will say that they have worked with everything out there and had great results with any/every type of equipment

Yes, there are exceptions to every rule but these are basic guidlines. Remember paranormal groups are real people with real lives. Normally groups can't afford all the newest and hottest equipment out there because we don't have tv networks to pay the bill. Any equipment has come out of the pockets of the investigators. We may not approve of how other groups opperate but that's their bussiness. Just remember we've been called into places to "clean up their mess" and usually we are meet with clients that are scared out of their minds after the last "group" told them untrue things.

Hope this helps keep some of the undesirable/unethical paranormal groups out of your homes and business'.
