The third annual Windigo Fest is a celebration of all things Halloween taking place Friday October 4th through the 6th 2019 in Downtown Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This year will be bigger and better seeing as our unique festival has grown the past two years, making us a Halloween season destination for tourists, as well as the Halloween social event for local residents. Our special meet and greet guests this year include Miko Hughes who played the original Gage in Pet Sematary, and the Christine car from the Stephen King movie!
The weekend is filled with various seasonal activities such as music, costume contests, art exhibits, celebrity meets, sideshow performances, yard contests, great food, and tons of Halloween mayhem. After a day full of All Hallows Eve hullaballoo on Saturday evening, there is a parade containing costumes, performances, and much more heading south (against the normal traffic) on North 8th Street. On Sunday this year we will be hosting a Cornhole Tournament, Halloween/folklore/horror trivia, and pall bearer races! All these events have cash and merchandise prizes!
The main festivities for the event will be on Franklin Street between South 8th and South 6th Streets. Attendance started with 6000 in 2017, escalated to 10,000 in 2018, and we will work diligently to increase the numbers this year.
Like out our facebook page and you will get all the updates for the festival as they become available.
