The 2022 inaugural “Spirits of the Silent City” immersive, after-dark experience a week before Halloween sold out all three nights and will return this year. (Tickets go on sale Sept. 1.) Produced under theatrical lighting by Forest Home Cemetery in collaboration with Caper Company, professional actors bring heavily researched stories of the cemetery to life with “spirit guides” portraying notable Milwaukeeans buried here, including Mrs. Wright, the eccentric second wife of Frank Lloyd Wright; Dr. Laura Ross Wolcott, the state’s first female physician; Ezekiel Gillespie, the Black man who helped secure suffrage rights for African Americans in Wisconsin; and a bickering group of beer barons. (Fifteen beer barons are buried here.)
October 19-22
The first tour begins at 6 pm each evening.
A 70 minute tour is $45. Tickets need to be purchased in advance and are non-refundable.
