Historic Beer Bike Ride: Haunted Milwaukee

The Milwaukee County Historical Society is excited to resurrect our Brew City MKE Historic Beer Bike Ride series with the crowd favorite "Historic Beer Bike Ride: Haunted Milwaukee.” Explore the hidden terrors and mysteries of the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee and drink some frighteningly good brews from some of Milwaukee’s favorite neighborhood breweries to calm our nerves in between!

The bike ride will set off from the Historical Center (910 N. Old World Third St.) after you have had a chance to view our newest exhibit, "Better, Bigger, Brighter: 150 Years of Milwaukee Politics." We will then ride via the Oak Leaf Trail to Company Brewing (with ample time for lunch if you so desire), Black Husky Brewing, and the Gathering Place Brewing Co. The tour will last from 11:30 a.m. at MCHS until the final stop at Gathering Place Brewing Co around 3:15 p.m.

At each stop you will be given short, true horror histories of Milwaukee via your leader Dana Hansen, accompanied by historic pictures from the Milwaukee County Historical Society's Archives depicting the Riverwest neighborhood landscape and stops relevant to the spooky stories along the trail. Food and beverages are not included in your guided bike tour ticket.

Tour capacity is limited for your safety. Social distancing will be incorporated into the tour. Masks will be required while indoors and when you are not seated. Register, bring your bike, and be at MCHS by 11:30 a.m.
