Evergreen Parking Lot at Lapham Peak State Park

Each Halloween season, for two nights, the beautiful, moonlit, paths of Lapham Peak are riddled with ghosts and goblins. Brought to you by the Friends of Lapham Peak, Fright Hike is a mile long walk through the dark forest with scary scenes performed by local organizations. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lapham Peak's Projects that directly support Lapham Peak!
Fright Hike is intended to be a fun but scary experience and is not recommended for very young children. Parents, use your own discretion when bringing younger children.
Approximately 4,000 hikers attend every year.
NEW FOR 2023 - Friday the 13th, a one night event, on Friday the 13th, 6pm-8:30pm, limited to 2,000 guests. Unlike our traditional upcoming Fright Hike, there will be NO LIVE ACTORS jumping out to scare you. At $13, we have designed a less expensive opportunity for families with younger children to try out a spooky hike in the woods. See if your family can spy all 13 iconic horror characters along the trail. Complete with a haunted DJ, food trucks, and bonfire, you won’t want to miss out on the fun!

The Hike entrance line closes at 8:30pm. All ticket holders must be in the park and in line prior to 8:30pm for admittance; plan accordingly.

Lapham Peak requires a $5.00/vehicle fee or valid annual WI State Park sticker to access the park. Carpooling is encouraged.
Tickets must be purchased online ahead of time.
Proceeds benefit The Friends of Lapham Peak, for projects within the Park, including Snowmaking and Habitat Restoration.
