Nestled in the heart of Ozaukee County, Cedarburg, Wisconsin is a quaint little town located just 20 minutes north of Milwaukee. It's buildings have been preserved to look like a Norman Rockwell painting from the past. Most locations now house retail shops, restraunts, and pubs. It has become a tourist destination, with the popular Maxwell Street Days at the fairgrounds, and various festivals held downtown throughout the year. However, there is a dark side of Cedarburg as well. There are numerous reports of hauntings in homes and businesses that date as far back as the Civil War era. Murders were no stranger to Cedarburg as well. Whether from jealousy or too much alcohol, Cedarburg has had it's share of secrets.
Join Mike Hoke, co-host of The Strange Side paranormal radio podcast heard from 7-9 central time Tuesday nights on the ZTalk radio network, and co-founder of the Paranormal Investigation and Research Society, as he tells tales of Cedarburg's haunts, as well as the darker past of the city. There will be two different tours, with each tour featuring 5 ghost stops and 5 death stops. Each tour is about 90 minutes long and will involve stops all over the downtown area. There is a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Tours will be conducted rain or shine and will not be cancelled unless severe storms are approaching or are in the vicinity.
