The Fright factory this year, to me, was kind of disappointing. Most of the scenes were repeated, and the whole thing, to me, is waaaaay too short. I would've expected more from these people. I went last year and it was sooo fun!!! But this year, I didn't really feel it. Sorry guys.
Eh, this is a good haunt if you want a laugh, or maybe a few jumps. But to get really scared, I wouldn't recommend it.

When going through there complex I was thrilled to see what they had up there sleves this year. Granted some haunted house are smaller and they can change there scenes every year. This haunted house does it to portions of there haunted houses. With this being a thursday night they only had two haunted house open. I knew this before going there, and I was really just going to see there new haunted house. But at seven o clock I first went into Adrenaline, even though they didn't change there haunted house. There scare were F***en Awesome. There actors also stepped up there game and set a high level for scaring. Well when I Finished there first haunted house, I went to there brand new haunted( formally Blood City) now know as Insanity, most people that don't go through this haunted won't believe, but that one word summarize this whole haunt, from the plant hallway, to baby boy, to there facade. Honestly there is a reason why this haunted is know as one of the best. Even though you might pay a little bit more to go through the whole complex, If you are looking for a night of fun and scare, I highly suggest Burial Chamber Complex

Very good! Didn't know the building existed and then how big it was. The wait wasn't all that bad, they had a ghoul out there and sometimes two at once. Had a very neat prop outside as well, they had a skull in a glass container that gave information and had jokes. Very good music outside, not your traditional haunted house music in the line.
To start with, this building is literally next to the state prison in Prairie du Chien. It is so close that you can see the razor wire on the fence and the security van circle the complex. It made the wait in line even scary.
This haunt had lots of loud noises-from screaches to air horns to an air cannon. The layout seemed big. They had a lot of animated props and each one made me jump. One in particular was a barrel that a figure popped out with a light and air horn. They had a short bus in this place! Along with a car. The bus was freaky. The body bag room really got me, there was a strobe light and it hit the face just right, to top it off they had a live actor in the room in a corner as well. The cop car with pig was interesting, well themed to have that at the end.

On a mild Halloween Night, I began my adventure to the Dark Side. Accompanied by some buddies, I drove to rural Ixonia( following mapquest directions) and was already creeped out being in the middle of nowhere. I purchased my ticket from one of the very helpful staff and we waited our turn. After 15-20 minutes we were guided by one of the story telling undead to the haunted mine. Inside were scares at every turn. Things slamming down, jumping out and squeezing us in, we didnt know which way the next scare was coming from. After we made it through we waited at a bonfire and then were loaded onto the hayride. The wagon was eerie in appearance and as the ride began I was already on edge. We entered the forest where my fellow passangers and I were scared from all angles by actors and props alike. We were unloaded by a second fire and broken into groups by one of the most entertaining ghouls i have ever met. We walked through the forest guided by a rope light and the sounds of screams to guide us. Extremely scared my friends and I entered the corn maze and were scared from start to finish.
This is one of the best haunts I have been to. The actors are from the " jump-out-from-nowhere-and-shout" school of scaring, making each new area exciting as well as terrifying. I was most impressed with the attention to detail in the mine and the walking woods portion. I wanted to stop and look at each area but was kept moving by the energetic cast. I also enjoyed the stories told to us by the guide on the way into the mine. I will most definantly recommend this haunt to all my friends and family.

Bottom line best Haunted house i ever went to! I worked for Dead by Dawn in the past but u seemed to scare the crap out of me and my wife (who pissed her pants)LOL!!! Scary...fun...breathless
Even the wait is fun, hanging by a bonfire telling scary stories. Then the 45 minutes of uncertainty, live and annimated characters. Well designed scenes and just a Halloween atmosphere I give it 2 thumbs up! Must See
Well worth the money, activities to do outside bonfire and environment really set the tone for scare and fear. Plus 45 minutes for a haunt can't be found anywhere else. I highly recommend it as a MUST SEE!

When i first looked up this place on here i was skeptical. I saw that most things people had to say about this place were bad. However i figured that the only people writing the reviews were the ones who were displeased. And boy was I right. DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!! Yes $18 seems like alot but it took almost 45 minutes to get through! It was a very good bang for your buck. I have been to other haunted houses and payed around $12 and they only lasted like 20 minutes. The longevity of this field was great. This place was a ton of fun and we are coming back every year from now on! Also, we followed the directions from the website and found it very easily.
First we bought tickets and they showed us what our numbers are. So we wandered around the store for a while, which is really cool, lots of fun stuff in there. Then we got some food. The burgers and brats were amazing! plus it was a fund raiser so that was cool. So then we went and sat by the bonfire and listened to the creepy stories which were really creative and spooky. There were tons of animals there and most of them are animals that u never get to see. They were really neat. After about an hour and a half our numbers were called on the led boards. So we went in the line and waited for about another 15 minutes before we got to enter. the wait wasnt bad and there was really cool stuff to keep you busy. It took us around 45 minutes to walk through the cornfield which was awesome. The actors were spaced out nicely and they were really good. They interacted with our group and wouldnt leave us alone. They were really scary. Especially for the two girls in our group. The actors were just a lot of fun. Overall this place wasnt the absolute scariest haunt but it we all had a really good time. It was great.

It was very cold and we were able to wait inside, once inside we were greeted by monsters which got the adrenaline going.
Actually there were a few monsters outside too.
The sets were well constructed and realistic
the actors were superb, most of them never broke character especially the Phantom and Librarian (very cool characters).
The main street was way cool as was the rainforest room very creative.
We went through with a group of 4 and never ran into another group which was great as we never knew what was coming or when a monster would pop out at us.Only complaint we did catch a couple monsters out of character in the tourture chamber and after the clown jumped off the rope and realized he didn't scare us he quickly gave up.Kudos to the set designers, very creative.
Great scare for the most part
word of warning- don't mess with that librarian, she meant business !!

When I went, I had a lot of fun. We were supposed to go with a big group but it worked out well with just two because you can only go in with a group of 2 or 3 people. The group ahead of us were scared easily so we kind of laughed as we heard some of the people in the house just say "boo" and the screams would start :) For a local Haunted House, I was really impressed! It was pretty intricate and well thought through with over 20 volunteers dressed up and hiding inside the haunted house to help scare you! The end was the best though if you don't know what's coming! The people ahead of us didn't expect it and were definitely scared!
Overall, most of the rooms are pitch black which and there are things hanging everywhere to disorient you which makes the experience more interesting. I'm not someone that gets scared easily but I was still really impressed by this Haunted House. Maybe not worth $8, but if you have the money and want to experience a haunted house, it's one to consider!

Great house this year. Lots of characters who were very interactive. Did a great job adlibbing if you answered their questions. Great makeup. Could have used a little stronger finish, but MAN, was that doll room creepy!
Great. 4th year I've gone, best one yet.

GREAT haunted house! It is definitely a good one to go to if you are older. :) The walking through the forest at night really helps with the scare factor. I would not recommend anyone going this year if you have a fear of clowns!
It was a GREAT time.
My biggest complaint--the LONG LONG line. We got there at 9pm and didn't leave until 11:15 and it would have been even later if we would have stayed in the line. ;)
I recommend getting there right at 8pm to cut down on the wait. The waiting was TOO long!

After purchasing your tickets, you can wait in the gymnasium with plenty of snacks and soda available. The wait is anywhere from 1 to 2 1/2 hours. The event provided minimal entertainment during the wait (old b&w movies and really bad music). It really couldn't hurt to dim the lights in the gym.
The house has some really great sets and some awesome effects. I couldn't believe how good some of the setups were. The pace of the house is really well controlled. Instead of walking through the house wondering if you are going too fast or too slow, they take that out of the equation entirely. There were a few times (being in the lead position) of running into walls or doors that were locked and not knowing if and where to proceed.
There were some chances for some really great scares. There were many creepy moments as well as some "what's going to happen next?" moments.
Unfortunately, poor acting and voice-over lip syncing were the complete downfall for this house. Maybe it was because it was getting late, but some of the "actors" were terrible. It felt like they gave up their characters long before we bought our tickets.
Overall, I loved the house setup and the scenery. Was really disappointed with the actors performances.

This house was quite interesting. It definitely had some good actors, who really gave a great effort. The outside wait wasn't the worst on the weekend that I went. Unfortunately, I imagine on these colder days, its definitely going to be tough. Because the house is located downtown, there really isn't much that can be done about this.
At first our group was a little upset about the wait time, we later realized that it paid off. We never once ran into another group.
The layout was great. You went through three levels. You could see that a lot of time and effort went into creating their characters and scenes. There is a very creepy Alice in Wonderland on acid feel to it. I would say that there aren't a whole lot of "pop scares" just more creep you out moments.
Long wait time outdoors with minimum shelter are one of the biggest downfalls for this house. Great actors, interesting scenes and characters really help the creepy effect the house is going for.

The inside was so cool. I think i almost pissed myself a cople times. lol. I especially love the graveyard and the crazy girl in the psyco room. tone of awesome effects too. Eventho it was 15 bucks, it was deffinately worth every penny. P.S. Watch out for the walls!

We had a great time on the trail. We had a group of 6 (3 couples). Just a heads up for anyone considering this "haunt", they only allow groups of 4 (no exceptions!) thru at a time. So keep that in mind if you have a group larger than 4. We had a difficult time deciding how to separate our group of 6, but we wound up breaking down in to 2 groups of 3 (all girls went together and all the guys went together). The wait in line wasn't very long, maybe 15-20 minutes. This attraction does offer tickets at $8 for the trail or $10 for the trail and the Panic Bus. Don't waste your money on the Panic Bus. Take that $2 and by yourself some hot chocolate instead to keep you warm. The walk thru the trail took us about 15 minutes. By the time we reached the end, our checks hurt from laughing at ourselves and each other other, our voices were hoarse from screaming and we are pretty sure we walked out with heart conditions we didn't have when we first started the trail. For being a small, locally put on haunt, they did an excellent job. Would recommend!
Well worth the trip. Very remote location, and the people working the trail interacted with you constantly. Much fun!

it was a busy night when we got there. there were actors all around. the one at the road got my friend really good. she went running ahead of us. once we paid for our wristbands we were walked down to the waiting area with a group of other people that were waiting as well. once in the waiting area there was a long line but it was very entertaining. there would be actors walking through the line just scaring people left and right. i remember this one girls was getting chased around the waiting area. it was really funny up until someone snocked up on me and got me good. my friends didnt even tell me that someone was behind me until i turned. once it was our turn we were taken out by this one guy that didnt even need to have a mask on. he was that scary. we went through this one barn and it was insane. there was fog coming all around us and that made it even more scary because you couldnt tell if there was anyone around you other then your group. there was a vortex and i almost fell because i thought i was spinning instead. it was fun. towards the end there was an other buliding and we thought we had to go through it until someone came aout and scared us so much that my friend peed on herself. then (s)he chased us down through the corn. one the way out we went through the clown area. i am not one that likes clowns too much. so needlesstosay , it wasnt my faveorite part.
i really like this cornfield and recommend this to everyone that wants to have a good time and get scared at the same time. they put a good effort into this place and it is better then last year.

This was the 7th Haunted Attraction we have been to this season. It was the 3rd that had a real chainsaw & the first with other types of saws and tools for scare effects. The setting in an old warehouse with rickety stairs and rusty windows sets the tone well. There was an indoor somewhat heated line that went fairly quickly.
Has a good mix of decorative scenes with a couple black mazes, one very skinny with texture on the walls & a bit of de ja vu. Had a few unique scenes in it like the cobweb room. The scenes seemed to be decorated with a lot of detail.
Most rooms seemed to have a scare in them. Even some of the hallways had scares. Lots of loud noises that scare you in your scene and build anticipation as you hear it in some of the other scenes. Workers were not afraid to get in your face. The voice over the microphone was scary and a bit funny, a unique idea.
This is a good scare for those looking for that. It was a bit cheaper than a few others we have been too, but the effects were the same.

We got there before the crowd so we were in the first group to go through. We purchased all 3 attractions. I like how they continue you through to the next haunted house when you buy more than one house instead of making you wait in the long line again.
The First 2 haunted houses are very similar. The rooms are pristine and decorated in such a manor you feel like you are in the setting. They do a great job of moving you through the scene so you experience the entire room. The actors keep in character and try to get everyone in the group, not just the screamers. There were some similar sets from last year, but they are good sets. I love the exit, it makes a non claustrophobic person, claustrophobic!
The 3rd house is more for effect than scare. The 3-D paint inside is awesome to say the least! The actors are quick to respond to the friendly banter I made and we had a fun dialogue going on. Only suggestion in the last house was get a real chain saw or none at all. The "toy" chainsaw they had was really lame.
This was Haunted House 3-4-5 for us this season. It took us 30 minutes to go through all 3.
All 3 are obviously professional Haunted Attractions put together very well. If you are interested in scare only, go to the first 2 if you also care about effects splurge for the 3rd.

It was fairly busy when we got there, but there was still plenty of free parking in the lots out front of the house and we only had to wait about 20 minutes before our numbers were called. They only took cash, which was a slight inconvenience. The waiting area was mostly enclosed and comfortable to wait in. A few creatures roamed around trying to spook people, most gave up too easily. Also, there were a lot of large groups of teenagers milling around. Security did a good job keeping order though.
My group was a group of 8 and too big for the size of the house IMO. The actors and spooks were only set-up to scare the first 1-2 people in the line, leaving the rest to not even see what happened, much less be scared. They tried switching up the lead and order a few times - kudos for that! - but it didn't work very well and we were left in almost the same order throughout. Too many dark corners were left unused for surprise scares.
**Don't read this if you want the rooms to be a surprise**
The actors feasting around the table in the dining room were exceptionally good and the room was fantastically done. The swamp room was also really creepy and the actors did actually wait until the entire group was in and half way through before letting their scare loose (thus scaring everyone). The attic doll room was really really creepy, but lacking in a good scare/startle. The very end of it is also perfect. Too few haunted houses take advantage of the those letting down their guards as they leave.
This was a decent haunted house overall. But, I scare easily and I found myself not even the least bit scared multiple times throughout the house. On the up side, because I wasn't so scared, I was able to look around at the scenes and enjoy the work that went into them. However, I don't know that I'll try this house again in the future.

This one did it for me!!! I was scared, very scared.
Yes, I did show up to this pretty late, but it was worth it and I still got in. (I'm not sure when they stop selling tickets.)
When I was walking up I looked at the line and thought that this was going to take too long, but it was not bad at all. After all, you do go with friends and joke around while you wait. Do dress warm though, I did and the cold didn't even bother me. That made the time fly by because you’re not standing there thinking about how your freezing your butt off and wishing that the line would move faster because you’re the dumb ass that didn’t wear a coat and gloves in the first place. (I did see some people dressed like they were going to the bars and didn’t have anything warm on. Come on, really?)
I do remember when I went to this a few years ago that there were more scary characters walking around outside to scare you while you wait in line. I also liked when they would chase you for a little bit when you walked back to your car. On the day that I went, they had only one character and it was a clown. I have Coulrophobia (fear of clowns) and my friends helped me so that I would not accidentally see the clown. However, I made friends with security and John (Hi John) while I was in line and they asked me to take a picture, I said yes, not knowing that they wanted me to take it with the clown. I was a tad scared, because they pulled me out of line away from my friends and I was alone with this clown. (Okay, so I was mortified.) I was embarrassed and felt bad that these guys were trying to take a picture and here I am balling my eyes out uncontrollably because of their clown. (Sorry guys)
Needless to say, the actual haunt was great. The characters inside popped out at you at the best times and actually were able to make you jump. Their costumes were great and the lighting helped create an eerie feel. I was told that the clown room was pretty creepy. Of course I didn’t look, my friend just about leaped at me to grab my head in order to cover my eyes so I would see, which I didn’t. I would’ve passed out from fear though, I was told there were three clowns that walked around and the painting on the walls was pretty scary too.
Great job everyone at Mars Haunted House! Props to you, John, thank you for all that you did for me and my friends. Sorry again for crying when you wanted to take that picture. I’ll see you all next year!
~Devo

I liked it a lot. It had great things that lead to the next room and you weren't sure what to expect. My favorite was probably the Market place. It was so awesome. The Butcher and the Cart Pusher were totatlly cool. The price and time it took to go through was totally worth it. only problem was getting there. We had the directions, but after getting on the street, had no idea where to go. More signs would be great especially for people like my group who came from out of town.

This was my first time expierencing this haunted house and it was very good. I can't believe the transitions between each room. It gave the victims enough time to gather their thoughts so the pychological factor was there as well. I loved riding in the kart. We did run into a couple the group in front of us and a group caught up to us from behind. The actors saw that happening and they took care of the problem very well. My only main problem was finding the place to begin with. Even though its on one of Sheboygan's main drags the signs should be more visible. Other than that i had a great time.
i would definally recommend this haunted attraction to my friends and random strangers. I had fun and i hope you do too.

We had a group of 5 people go to Terror on the Fox. After finding the correct directions, the haunt was fairly easy to find. The line appeared to be long and it was cold outside, but don't be fooled; the line moved quickly. We purchased the combo tickets, which were only $20 per person after the online coupon. $20 for 3 haunts is a good deal!
The haunt starts off with a "haunted" train ride. It wasn't very scary, but it was definitely worth the ride!
The first haunt was "Torment, a New Fear Within." It took maybe 7 minutes to walk through. There didn't seem to be a consistent theme, but some of the actors made the haunt their own. I really liked the chain link walk ways, it was much better than just a dark hallway! This haunt set the tone, but it left me wanting something more.
Next, we had to wait in a long line for the main attraction. The music got us pumped, but waiting in a standing line for over an hour was a little harsh. There were scenes set up in the woods, but I was really hoping for some live actors.
Once the main attraction came into view we were so excited!!! The stage was phenomenal! (You will have to go and see for more details...) Once inside the house I was more than impressed with the decorations. Props to the actors in the bedroom...you came out from the most unlikely of places. I loved the forest...I never saw that coming!! We loved taking a trip through hell!!! The rooms were creative, but they didn't seem to flow. The bartenders were a little inattentive, but overall I was impressed.
The final haunt was the "3rd Dimension of Fear." We needed to put on some corny 3D glasses, which didn't stay on, but that's besides the point. The decorations were again amazing. This house seemed more like a fun house, and the glow paint was tons of fun. My favorite would be the dot room. BEWARE!
This haunt was tons of fun! I would recommend buying the $14 ($13 with the online coupon!) main attraction ticket (which still includes the train ride). The decorations at this haunt were phenomenal, but these weren't the most motivated actors I've seen this year. GOOD JOB TERROR ON THE FOX!!!

This was definitely a great experience. I drove from Milwaukee to see what all the hype was about. I met with some friends, and we pretty much just hung out in the parking lot by the cars and sent a "scout" every 15-30 minutes to go check on the status of the number calling for the line.
When it finally came time for us to mosey into the waiting area, I was really getting into the choice of music. This definitely gave you an adrenaline booster just before heading in.
If I had a choice, I would have preferred a smaller group, so all the people had a fair shot at being scared. I worked for a haunted attraction for 6 years, so I was, of course, dead last. I enjoyed a lot of the scenes, and the music throughout. In a group of 8 or 10, usually the scare is done by the time the last 2-4 people come into the scene
I agree with some of the other reviews, stating that you didn't sense any of the other scares ahead of you, but there was one. Even with the sense of not knowing what's coming, each scene was doomed to a single scare (actor or animatronics). There seemed to be a few too many "dead zones" (pardon the pun). I'm guessing they were attempting to build suspense, or maybe they ran out of room in the floor plan, but I got a little bored. One effect or actor per scene really isn't going to cut it
Although I've worked for another haunt, this was all new to me. I did still have a good time, but I have seen better this season. Could use more pinball scares to keep you guessing where the scare is coming from. I enjoyed the number system, with the ability to just hang out until the sequence called.

Interactive actors made this well worth the admission fee. The effects were great, with black light rooms, 3D paint, and other unique props. The actors kept us on our toes, but found a way to creep up on us anyway. It was fun, with frights from beginning to end, I would recommend it to my friends.
Although the line was long, a movie and actors kept us entertained. The tour took us through many different rooms, providing a scary situation for anybody. 3D paint is an effect I've never seen in a terror trail before.

Very scary and funny at the same time. The rooms are well designed and have a mix of live actors and automatic "pop ups" that scared the living daylights out of me!
Highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good scare!!!
I attended this with 3 of my friends and the wait wasn't too long considering how many people were in line to get in. This was a very good haunted house overall.

There was a family behind us in line with about 7 kids, some looked as young as 4 yrs old..there were loud, kept hitting into us in line and trying to push forward, wehn we finally got to get ready to go into the haunted house, I asked the guy to please make sure we are as far away as possible, he said he couldn't do that, so wewere all ready to go in and the Family started complaining that they charged himtoo much so the guy took everyone out of line and then let me and my friend go through without them.
the haunt was just OK for me this year...there was only a clown outside while waiting and he wasn't scary at all, last few times I have went there were zombies outside, chasing you to your car and messing with you while you wait in line. Wehn we finally wnet through, i was really disappointed, I drive from Genoa City, WI to Mitchell ST in Milwaukee (about a 45 minuted ride) - I don't think I will be back again...also when we were walking through, it smelled like sewer. Most of the charaters were good, but it went by so quick, I forgot about most of it....

It started off where i went in line to get my tickets. As i approached the ticket line i was like "There is no way im waiting in this line". I got convinced to buy my ticket. I then went into a heated waiting room with consessions. In the waiting room i saw a weird guy on stilts. He was fun and gave everyone some excitment. After waiting for about 1 hour i got called into a cemetary. In there we lined up and got ready to go into the house. As we were lining up we got told jokes and had fun. Then the FUN BEGAN!!! The whole house was excellent but there were certain rooms in particular. The room that made me PISS MY PANTS was the torture chamber. Then my next favorite part of the house was that rat. He was amazing. The statue room was good along with the hellevator before that. THE WHOLE HOUSE WAS EXCELLENT. It was definatly worth 10 dollars..
I would recommend this house to anyone that wants to piss themselves....

First timer on this one... I was reallly excited for this haunt.. but in the end was dissapointed... Throught the "haunted" forest you couldnt see a damn thing... we kept running into trees! and no actors anywhere in sight to scare us.. but when we pulled out a cellphone to see where the hell we were.. then one finally popped out to yell at us! wait time was not bad at all!! bonfire was nice and music/video was cool. Inside the hoouse.. welll.. running into poles is always fun.. not to mention actors standing around talking.. But they actually helped us when we couldnt see where we were supposed to go.. the "toliet room" now that was just discusting!!!!! And my question is.. what if your not the skinniest person in the world?? how are u supposed to fit through all those tiny areas... and there is NO DISCLAIMER about crawling around... I usually am very scared at haunted houses but this one was a downer... it had its scary parts but the unscary ones overwhelmed the rest...

This house is by far the best haunted attraction in the greater milwaukee area. I've never been more freaked out in my life. Evil clowns and messed up Doctors torturing you it dosen't get much worse. The actors in this place are amazing. The best word that describes this house is....unique, it's unlike anything you'll ever see.

After hearing all the hype on this place, all I can say is it was a let down...from an adult point of view. The trail was a nice walk but the actors were kinda listless, to the point of falling in front of you. I think a few might have gotten stepped on since it's too dark to even see your footing. We were impressed with the group system. No lines and people sitting around a huge bonfire. The techo music needed to go but then again it's aimed twords the younger crowd. after about 1/2 hour we made it in. I liked the entrance area and the first room but after that my expectations dropped. the actors were dressed in street clothes and rather boring. the scare factor was not there mixed with the crawling made it seem more like a fun house than a haunted house. Climbing through a port-a-potty, the crawling and the very tight hallways/stairwells turned me off completely.
I'd recommend they remove the crawling and the 1 foot hallways. As for a fun house, this is great but as a haunted house, they missed the mark.

This was my first visit to the burial chamber and they did a excellent job. I liked the fact that there wasn't crawling or 1 foot wide hallways. We went through all three haunts with our VIP pass. Considering there were probably 1000-1500 people waiting to get in between the three haunts, we found this to be a very wise choice. They seem to be a little understaffed with actors but did a very good job none the less.
Some of the rooms inside were done very well but the three that stick out were the 'baby', the 'barber' and the puppet show. Now I'm not going to go into detail which haunt they are in or what rooms they are but I figure the Burial Chamber people will know which ones I'm talking about and you will too once you go through.
I manged to jump a few times and that is a task in itself since I still build/work at another haunt. Well worth the time to check out!

This was a very fun and scary haunted cornfield. The characters were very creepy and were in the perfect spots to scare people. Just when you think you can take a breath and relax a little, BAM! someone is there to scare the crap out of you again. You definately know that a place is scary when someone from the group before you is crying at the end because they were so scared. I especially liked the extra rooms that they had placed throughout the field, that always makes it more freaky. I also thought the jeepers creepers truck was very cool. Just an idea that I had is that they should try and incorporate more of the movie in the field. Like having someone dress up like the jeepers creepers guy and put him on a wood post like a scarcrow (like in the beginning of jeepers creepers 2). I also greatly appreciated that they spaced everyone out so well. It always seems to ruin the fun when you either catch up to the people in front of you, or the people behind you catch up to you. That did not happen in this cornfield, which I was very happy about. By the way, the guy at the entrace was awesome!
I recommend Spooky Stalks Haunted Cornfield to anyone looking to get scared and have a lot of fun! This was one of the best haunted cornfields I have ever been to! I am definately going back next year!

it was a pretty good house for the most part. i went with my cousin and boyfriend and with most haunted houses a group of three gets lumped with another group but i was happy we got to experience it for ourselves. we waited for a little over an hour to get in but there was a lot to do so we kept busy with the dj &games. once we were like halfway through we caught up to a slower group though, so that took some of the scare away from us. its not the houses fault though.
nice talking skull in the beginning. i liked the elevator, i didnt know that that building had two floors. the room with all the werewolves and zombies was cool, there was a lot going on in there but it kept me from getting bored. there was a part where a train horn went off &that startled me too. i remembered the girl from the strobe light maze from last year, but she still creeped me out. over all pretty good. ill be back next year.

For a first year haunt, Monster Mayhem did a wonderful job! Located in the basement of Paulo’s Pizza, the location was great! It was easy to find with ample parking. Additionally, the restaurant above the house provided a warm waiting area and the perfect place to grab a pizza, play video games, or stop for a drink after the haunt.
One of the best features of Monster Mayhem was that the owners encouraged visitors to go through in smaller groups, and they did not rush the groups through the house. This was appreciated because it increased the fun and scariness factors!
The journey through Monster Mayhem takes you from room to room filled with various genetically mutated creatures. The special effects were excellent, both creepy and memorable! The elevator ride left some in our group a little dizzy and played on others’ claustrophobia. We were also impressed by the quality of actors in this haunt. Our favorite character was the man at the entrance of the house who delivered his lines with a perfect mix of eeriness and comedy.
This haunt was enjoyable, fun, and scary. Everyone in our group had a great time. It’s excellent to see a quality haunted house located in the Milwaukee area! We really hope that Monster Mayhem returns next Halloween for year two!

Absolutely awesome! Creepy circus music plays throughout and almost all the actors are in makeup, not those cheap, lazy masks unless their part calls for one.
The queue at the entrance is very entertaining, having newspaper cutouts on the wall explaining the history of what happened and what to expect, instead of most houses where you stand around rolling your eyes waiting for your turn to go in.
The vortex almost made me fall! My eyes were jelly!
The actors were totally committed to their parts and very professional, unlike most haunts where they get the neighborhood kids to come over and play around in cheap costumes for a few hours after decorating with front yard ornaments from Wal-Mart.
There were three different mazes in this house, each with a different theme and each very disorienting. A fence maze, a dark maze and a mirror room. The bloody tooth fairy clown made my teeth squiggle! Ouch!
The freak show was very creepy. I thought the fence was going to bust open and the freaks were going to spill out all over me. Ghastly!
The doctor in the torture room almost made my pants fly off in a stream of pressurized pee when he whipped out his huge syringe!
This was an awesome house and I suggest it to anyone looking for not only a scare, but a great time and a commitment from the actors to make you have fun. They can't touch you, but these people are so skilled they don't have to and can still get the job done.
Oh no! I kind of mixed the review and summary together! It's OK! I have a disease.

Alot has changed this year, the woods constantly changes their scenes. I love the walk through the woods, it is very creepy. The actors are on cue and jump out at different parts of the group, unlike other places where they only get the front or back of the group.
Easy to locate, worth the price and not far of a drive. I would recommend this haunt to anyone 14 and older.

This is the best haunt i have seen in years and i have been to several each year! The sets were phenomenal the wait (which was about a half an hour) seemed to fly by thanks to all the 'monsters'that play in the barn and the coffin ride! There are all different kind of scares and you can tell the actors love what they are doing.
We went through both sides (the clown haunt in blacklight is MORE than worth the five bucks) I almost peed my pants when the cahinsaw man chased us. KUDOS to the peekaboo clown the dot room guy and the zombie nurses!
I'm probably going to go back through this weekend!

I have been attending this haunt for about the last 3 or 4 years now and it is truly amazing how they seem to be steeping up their game and improving year over year. After attending a very poor cornfield maze the week before, myself and a group of friends decided to visit this Haunt to get the season moving again. We arrived at the place at around 6:50ish. There were already a good number of people before us there. We stood in line for tickets for maybe 5 minutes. We then went into their covered waiting area which was a huge tent. They had the visitors sorted into rows of about 30-40 people. A worker told us which row to stand in, so after about 20 minutes or so of waiting, it was time for our row to step up(*Note* while waiting in line there was various ghouls and evil clowns scaring the living daylights of some young attendees, which really set the mood). We where sent in with out group of 4 and as you enter the first house is very much set up like an old haunted mansion, with a ghoul up top dangling a baby doll from a string at you on at the entrance, just a great start. I don’t want to give too much away, but the inside of the first house had some of the most detailed and nicely hidden creatures I have every seen. The details that go into these rooms are above and beyond anything around. The actors where very into their jobs and did a great job of making you jump or scream.
After we exited the first house there was about a 5 min break so they could properly make sure that the groups didn’t catch other. The waiting area in-between houses were set up and themed greatly so it would break the mood.
We then entered the second house, and it sums this one up, it’s darker and uses strobe lights very nicely. They even had a green type of laser strobe light which gave a great effect on the creatures as they seem to pop up and then out of view. The scares are still top notch in this house and you won’t be disappointed. Especially at the way you have to exit the 2nd house.
We then had another 10 minute break before entereing the 3rd and 3-d haunted fun house. Before entering the house you are given a pair of 3-d glasses. Once inside it is amazing as the artwork and colors jump off the wall due the effects. The house lacked live actors but was just overall visually amazing!
Overall took a bout an 1 hour to make it thru all 3. For $25.00 how could you go wrong, worth every penny. Also keep the wristband on and you can go again Nov.1st for half price! I highly recommend this house!!

There is a heated waiting area with concessions & actors roaming but as always it is jam-packed. An hour wait for the amount of people there went fast. We try to go here every year and have attended at least 7+ years. This year the scenes were mostly the same as previous years. The actors in the haunt are good, but rather predictable. The rooms are decorated realistically with lots of stuff to look at in each room. However, when you enter a room you look at everything in the room and an actor or two across the room from you and then move to the next scene. They don't get in your face so the scare factor is lower. The actors do stay in character and try to find the most scared in the group and play on that fear.
This is the 6th Haunted House I have been too this season. If you like effects over scare it is worth it. Don't let the line miss-lead you, it moves pretty quick.

We were told it was about an hour long wait, so we asked if we could leave and come back. The ticket seller said that even if we missed our numbers being called, they would still let us in, which was pretty cool. We left for a beer and came back about 9:30. Our numbers were called shortly, and we went inside the haunt to get in a short wait line. Here our group of 4 was paired up with a family of 4. The actors in the haunt were great, but it was more like watching movie clips than actually interacting with the actors. You would enter a room, they would do their skit, and you would leave for the next room. There were many cool special effects throughout the haunt, but I prefer a good scare to effects. There was too much light, you could pretty much anticipate everything that was coming. I felt like our group of 8 was too big, there were no scares for the middle or the back of the group. Actually, the children in front of us didn't seem to worried either. This is the 3rd haunt I have been to so far, and I wasn't scared in this one at all.
If you are looking for a good scare, I would go elsewhere. I would recommend this haunt for families with younger children.

A few rooms were really really good, however the end you walk through hanging sheets and NOTHING else--ended as a dud for us. All 8 of us thought it wasn't worth the money and it only lasted 3-4 minutes TOPS.
We were really hoping this was going to be great but not worth the money.

HOLY SH*T!! This haunted house was incredible! My and my friends absolutely loved it. We showed up at 11pm bought our tickets and got in only 45 minutes later! There were these really hot guys helping us out trying to get us ready for the big scare, they were staff. The actors were great, it felt like everything was so real. My heart was bouncing out of my chest once I walked threw the doors. First there was a very creepy skeleton guy thingy to explain the rules (he reminded me of tales from the crypt) Lol! My favorite was the graveyard (i think thats what it's called), there were zombies scaring me from left to right. Plus there was this cute vampire that was like the head vampire, the only thing that wasn't so cute about him was how he was hissing at me... It was wierd, it creeped me out! The spinny thing that had neon colors splattered every where.. It tripped me out, I felt drunk. :) Another one of my favs was the glow in the dark skeletons, they were more cool than scarey but they sure did get a scream out of me when the popped off the wall. Wow! It was wierd, I didn't even see it coming. The whole house was great, it was deffinately worth my time and my money. Me and my friends promise we'll come back, and this time we'll bring more friends because now there all worked up to see how amazing hauntfest was. I LOVED IT!!!!
BEST HAUNTED HOUSE EVER!!!!
WOOT HAUNTFEST!

I'm very impressed with this attraction! The haunts were detailed to the max and the acting was outstanding. A professionally operated event that provides frightening entertainment. I've toured 100+ haunts and this is one of the top haunted attractions in the country.
The Wisconsin Feargrounds is a must see haunted attraction.

OH MY GOD!!!That was an awesome house! I've been there before, but this is the best I've ever seen. The place was crowded, but there was plenty of stuff to do (and eat).
The bus ride was not what I expected, it was totally awesome! I don't think there was a room that we didn't like. (We did LOT'S of screaming!) We're definitley going back again!

What a great haunt!! We got there about 9 on a Friday night, so we had a wait a really long time - a little over an hour I think. Also, while we were waiting to go in... the power went out, on the whole premises, so that made the wait even longer. However, I'm just glad I wasn't in the house when it happened! It's $12 per person, which I think is a little overpriced, but that's about standard this year.
There were definitely a lot of positives about this haunt... though there are some downfalls as well. I love that you walk through haunted woods to get into the house, it really sets the mood. Walking through the tank at the beginning didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, though. A number of the rooms use animatronic monsters which is never as good as real actors, but the actors that we did see were pretty good. This haunt has probably the most unique vortex I've ever seen and I really enjoyed that. Be ready to crawl! This isn't only a walk-through haunt, you have to crawl, kneel, squirm and fight your way through the house at times. But it makes it all more interesting. They have some different hallway techniques which was cool, but I didn't like all the sheets in the way... if you're claustrophobic, beware!
Overall, definitely one of the better haunts in the area to visit. Be prepared to wait a pretty long time especially later on the weekends.

hauntfest is byfar the best haunted house i've ever been to. all the actors were in their places. everyone and everything was timed just right. even tho it was $15.00, it was worth every cent. i liked the hillbilly room, the skeleton's, and the caged maze. i barely made it out alive.
if you want a good haunted house to go to, then go to hauntfest. let's see if you can make it out alive.

We have heard good things about this house. Maybe we went on a bad day for them. The house needed a lot more actors. I am guessing there were only about 20. Not nearly enough to scare us. We were in a group of 16 people and were then cut down to groups of 4 which was much better for a scare. But because there were not enough actors, we did not scream at all. There are 3 levels to this house and some of the rooms were decorated nicely but they need to add more fright. The slide was very dangerous!!!!!!!!!!
I would not recommend this house to anyone. there are better houses out there for a good scare.

After getting our tickets, we entered the haunted trail where spooks scared us along the way. We then had a haunted Bus ride that had a lot of spooks on it. Finally we got to enter the house. Wow what detail there is. The Greeter did a fabulous job getting us prepared for our trip through the house. The Morgue and the kitchen where gross!!! The clowns did a great job and those claustraphobic areas in the house were so dark and erie with spooks everywhere. They had large screens showing the sponsors and clips of scarey movies which kept everyone standing in line busy. Overall, it was a great haunt
I would recommend this haunt to anyone who really wants to scream!!!! I have been to other houses and they did not make us scream. Thank you guys for making such a great house!!!

This haunted house is amazing! I've been there twice already this year, and I still get scared going through it. The actors are completely awesome at what they do and definitely know how to stay in character at all times. The makeup used was excellent and looked real. I really loved this haunt. My friends and I actually saw a group of people run out of the haunted house and fall over when the chainsaw guy came after them!
If you want to be scared, go to this! No wimpy people allowed.

Very disappointing...drove 2 hours each way to go to Terror on the Fox for the 1st time and paid $32 for the VIP Tickets. Train was alright and the rooms/props of the haunted houses were cool, but the actors were terrible and none of the houses were scary at all.
Getting the VIP Tickets is the way to go..when we went there was no waiting in lines whatsoever with the VIP tickets. Overall the setup is cool and the rooms/props of the houses are awesome but I dunno if it was just the people working the night we went, but the actors were pretty bad and there were very few scary parts at all. The group of us who went were all quite disappointed.

Our group attended Saturday, October 18 at about 8:00. We came by busload from Milwaukee as we do every year, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed! Arriving at that time, we did have an hour and a half wait, with about 400+ people ahead of us, but it was well worth it. While we were waiting in the heated waiting area, we were thouroughly entertained by monsters, (especially the Frankenstein on stilts........) We also enjoyed watching the TV with "live feed" from inside the house. Once our numbers were called, we walked across the courtyard to the actual house. We were also entertained by the vampire telling us jokes. As we entered the mansion, we were impressed by the decorations, the actors and the makeup and costumes. (No cheesy masks here.......only what seems to be professional makeup.) There was a scare in every room, which even made my manly boyfriend scream like a little girl. Kudos, Terror on Rural Street!!!!!! PS does the "Hellevator" really move? None of us can figure it out!!!!!!
Terror on Rural Street was easy to find, well lit, ample parking. I would recommend getting there early if you don't like to wait. The house was PACKED on Saturday night, BUT it was definitly worth the wait and the $10.00 we paid to get in. We laughed, we screamed, we cried!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at Terror on Rural Street on the same night at almost the exact same time and there were probably 75-100 or more people waiting. The waiting area had several characters and creatures out to entertain the waiting crowd including a very tall (10 feet?) Frankenstein. We had about a 15 minute wait until our numbers were called. There was a heated indoor waiting area where you could watch what I think was a live video feed, as well as an outdoor area decorated as a cemetery with wrought iron gates.
The entry area into the house was new this year and featured doors that automatically open after the numbers were called. Once inside the area were we lined up was really cool. There was some more wrought iron gates leading to another cemetery scene that I am pretty sure was part of the scene at the end of the house because while we were waiting we could hear the screams as the groups went though. The actual entry was also new and look like an actual decrepit porch of a house. There was a rather nice man addressing the groups and telling some corny jokes. Not scary, but he had everyone laughing. A rather agitated "granny" beckoned us into the first room and told a brief story about the "house" and the evil within...She was very good and changed the mood immediately.
From then on it was a series of mostly well timed scares. Although some were predictable and one bordered on being corny, the were still effective.
The attention to detail is why we always come back here and this year there were some awesome scenes and FX. The make up and costumes were cool and it look like they are using a lot of latex FX's.
We always visit this place after going to one or 2 of the other events in the area because we better appreciate how they do things. Contrary to what was said in "another" review, we also appreciate the fact that he majority of the actors are ADULTS and not just teenagers that appear to not even want to be there! We were going to try to go through again, but by time we got out, the waiting areas were full as well as the parking lots!
This has always been one our favorite Halloween events because of the attention to detail. There may have been years when they were scarier (maybe gorier is the correct term), but I never have been more entertained or had so much fun. Some areas of note are the Killer Clown area, the Attic (creepy) and the Dining room.
For $10 you can't miss! Go early so you can get in TWICE!

We went to this house because my sister was psyched to go. The $10 price tag seemed reasonable, and I liked the idea of a covered waiting area. The 1/4 mile haunted hike in pitch darkness was awesome, and I loved the chainsaws and ghouls along the way.
The group numbering system is great - being able to mill about and be by the bonfire or concession stand makes the wait more bearable. However, the two and a half hour wait to get into the house was not something I was expecting.
While there were spooks out scaring people, there were also actors just out and about chatting with friends - not scary.
When we finally got into the house, I was surprised by the number of very young volunteers. There were a couple kids in there who looked younger than 10. There was a lot of great ideas that made up the experience, but there were a few things that were just nasty. The port-a-potty idea would have been great, but the dirty diapers and bloody maxi pads on the walls were gross - not scary.
Its a 3 story building - yes, we know there's going to be stairs. But all the crawling sucked. There should be some kind of warning for people who would have hard time on their hands and knees scurrying around in the dark.
Not bad for your money. Be prepared to wait. Be prepared to crawl around on your hands and knees ... and don't go in with your expectations too high.

Every year I get together with a group of haunted house enthusiasts and we road trip from Michigan, Indiana and Chicago to check out haunted houses in Wisconsin. We hit the Wisconsin Feargrounds late-ish on a Friday night. There was a good crowd, clearly having a good time and getting the cr*p scared out of them by the que line entertainers (Yay Havoc and Granny! Yay Weird Guy In A Jumpsuit!).
The haunts themselves are stellar, from every perspective. Haunted houses haven't scared me since I worked in one 20 years ago*, so while everybody else is screaming and cringing, I really look at set design and decoration, props, lighting, listen to the sound design, see how the actors interact with the patrons, all the technical stuff - I can't help it. What I saw was an incredible attention to detail in the room designs, props and lighting. I saw actors who really ran the gamut of interaction - some were extremely in your face and caustic; others went for a more disturbing approach by completely ignoring you and just acting absolutely (and realistically) insane. I found the latter genuinely creepy - it was like being in a confined space with real psychotic person; you weren't sure what might set him/her off. There's also a great mix of surprises, jump-scares, and a few great slow burns that let you build some suspense and anticipation.
While Morgan Manor and Morgana's Torment employ a great deal of darkness and subtlety, Freaky's Funhouse is the opposite - dayglow 3D! We had a great time marvelling at the great and, at times, truly disturbing artwork, and being weirded out by the various implementations of the 3D effects. The clown selling Human Pot Pies (They're Chicken Lickin' Good!) was a gas and had us all laughing.
The real testament to all 3 haunted houses was my immediate desire to walk right back through them all, to see the things I missed the first time - I can't think of a better way to spend a cold October night!
*My Fear Factor rating is based on the reactions of the people around me, who all seemed gleefully terrified.
High quality sets, decor, lighting and acting make the Wisconsin Feargrounds a must-see attraction this season!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. I noticed there were some changes to the main house and they made it more fun to go through. My favorite by far is the swampy looking area. Great Sound and actors that were on mark every time. Great voices and sounds from the monsters. Those that spoke were terrific with interaction and good at improv. Sets were great as always. I really liked Torment. Nice change and addition to the show. Also, the outside actors were Unbelievably good (doesn't it hurt to fall like that?).
Everyone was really helpful and willing to make sure we had a terrific time. Again, being a Sunday night there was a very short wait and an unbelievable show.
I will definately being coming back again next year. Each year I go and this year I was really happy to see some terrific changes and variety. Professional from the time you came on the lot to when you left. Good service, Good Monsters, Good sets, and Good Scares!

Adrenaline - Good Haunt though mighty dark. There didn't seem to be a lot of change. Actors were good.
Insanity - I hadn't seen this haunt yet. The actors were really good and on mark. The entertainment in the line was good, though I only saw one character walking around. Lines were short due to it being early on a Sunday.
Very good. I'd have liked to see more new scenes. Insanity was my favorite of the two.

From the moment I walked up to the moment I exited I had a wonderful time. The young lady at the front gate was so sweet that it through me off just a little so I wasn’t expecting much of a scare but boy let me tell you!!!! After coming out of the vortex tunnel the wolf guy scared the sh*t out of me!! Then the magician was terrifying as well… I wonder if he ever found the other half of his rabbit?? Much to my surprise Gilly was in the torture room and made it very interesting and very creepy at the same time. The freak show was incredibly amazing and scared the hell out of me. Then I moved on to the “fun house.” Where there is NOTHING fun about it, instead you get a terrifying surprise in every room. The mirror room was truly difficult to find my way through especially with this guy or whatever the hell that creepy thing was following you. Beware when entering the stripped room as the rooms seems to spin out of control and then out of nowhere comes a horrifying surprise!! Then if you can make it through the last room filled to the brim with GIANT clown dolls and a large knife wielding man you’ll be escorted out by a comical yet creepy as hell guy at the end!!! The line was quite long already by that time however I truly felt that I got every penny worth. It took about 15 mins or so to get through but I'm glad I made it out alive!!!

Not hard to find(been there before) BUT the fact that this event wasn't real busy should have been a warning. We(group of friends)have attended this event for 8 years and in the past we knew we were in for a real scare. But in the last few years this haunt has gone downhill big time. We think the theme this year was supposed to be a haunted mansion, but the rooms were a hodge-podge of ideas that didn't make sense or flow together. The scares were predictable and came from where you would expect them. Acting was often mis-timed and the actors didn't seem to know what they were doing. In addition the make-up appeared more fit for a circus theme with crazy colors and strange hair styles on some actors. In addition a good percentage of the actors seemed too young or unprepared to effectivly scare. The time in the haunt was about 15 min. - a bit short in our opinion. Perhaps this haunt would be good for younger people because it has lost much of the impact and intensity it had in the past.
With high hopes dashed, our group is forced to conclude that this haunt has gone from run-for-your-life in the past to run-of-the-mill today. Gone are the fresh ideas and unusual sets and in their place are rooms and ideas we have seen before. Inside some rooms seemed to be 'tossed' together without thought or planning. The $10 admission(less than most this yar) and shorter wait time than other haunts still doesn't make up for the poor acting and lack of good scares. While we are sure some will find this haunt acceptable, if you are looking for great decor, original ideas and real scares - Terror has lost its' touch. After a couple years of disappointments our group, sorry to say, does not recommend this haunt. Not a complete waste of time but a far cry from many better haunts in our area.

So, SO. I was disapointed. I went to a hounted house put on by the same group 2 years ago in a different location and it was MUCH better. I understand that they lost a lot of their props when their prevoius building flooded. I hope they continue to improve so that they beat out the one they did 2 years ago at the top of the Noah's Ark parking lot.
No line. Got in within 5 minutes of arrival. Short indoor haunted house with limited actors the night we were there. Dissapointing. Haunted woods has the potential to be very scary but is severly lacking. Predictable. Short. Two logs laying in pathway that are VERY dangerous! I would go again next year in hopes that they made improvements.

This Haunted House was one of my favorites. I really like the fact that to get to the house you had to go through the haunted woods and then climb the stairs to get inside. The actors were awesome and the scences were great, they had a variety of scences to go through. I don't want to go into any detail, that would give it away for the person who wants to visit this haunt. I had gone to this years ago when they were in a different location and it wasn't so good then, it is great now the old farm house and the setting really is cool.
Excellent was really impressed and would definatley visit this in future. They were somewhat organized in making sure you got in, in a timely fashion.

This was Okay not what I expected it to be, People that had gone to this it was real good, Disagree totally. I have visited quite a few Haunted Houses this year and I would not go back to this one next year. Some of the actors we good and did their job at scaring you but others were lacking in scare tactics. The way you entered this building was a little strange, you entered and exited in the same place did not like that. Also the building inside had a terrible smell to it not enjoyable. The props here were sweet they had a ton of goods ones.

This was really DUMB, do not waste your time or money. It was circus themed but NOT scary at all! The layout of this sucked you were winding through some century fencing and only a couple of walls were actually made from plywood. The actors didn't seemed to get into it as you would expect. So all in all I would NEVER go to this one again.
Terrible!

There are signs for the haunted house, but we passed it at first because they are not very visible. Because we got there at 7 and it was raining, we only had to wait 15 minutes.
The haunted words at the start of the haunt was by far the best part for me. The woods are scary to begin with, so adding quite a few actors really added to the spookiness.
Once inside the house, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. I am usually scared of everything, but I think I screamed only once. There were not a lot of actors in the house. Instead there were animatronics that I could see before they "popped out." Since I was not scared, I was able to look around at all of the different props and scenes. They were very well constructed and added a lot to the house. I just wish there would have been more actors to interact with us. As previous reviewers mentioned, there was an unpleasant smell and a lot of cloth/clothes hanging down that you had to walk through. I also agree that some of the actors were only there to show you which way to go. It seemed like we were in the house for quite some time, so I was happy with the length of the haunt.
Overall, I would say that my expectations were not met. The props and haunted woods were very good, but they were not able to make up for the lack of actors. I walked away wishing I had gotten a better scare.

My husband, 7-year-old, and I went on the Haunted Hay Ride. We had a great time. It was just scary enough for the kid, but all the adults had a good time as well, and even we jumped at some of the effects. I have to say that the phantom horse was amazing! You will see what I mean if you go.
Definitely a good family haunt! No gore, just good old fashioned spooky!

This haunt is a fundraiser for the Wyocena Fire Bureau. We went as family (my husband, myself, and our seven-year-old) and had a blast. It's just spooky enough to get your heart pumping, but not so extreme that it will cause nightmares for the littler ones. My 4-year-old nephew also went, and he did just fine.
Great family haunt!

My husband I went on this haunt, and it has been our favorite thus far. While most haunted hayrides are rather "tame", this one was not at all! The actors not only jump out, they hang on to the sides of the wagon and even come aboard the wagon and interact with you. You can't run away when you are on a wagon and an evil clown is eye to eye with you. Also, this haunt allows monsters to touch you (within reason of course) so if that bothers you, let them know before you get on. NOT for small kids!
Breathtaking and scary!

My husband and I went to this event a few weeks ago. We were both really impressed with the realistic scenes and theatrics, as well as the unique setup. Word of warning: there are a few claustraphobic areas; however the staff is kind enough to allow you to bypass those if you are unable to go through them, and it doesn't "take away" from the scare at all. This haunt is NOT for young children as there are some very graphic scenes.
Awesome job!

This was the worst time I've ever had at a haunt. It started with the parking. We drove basically through where the concession and gift shop was. People were crowding the driving area. The parking attendants weren't paying attention enough. I went with 2 other people. We had already purchased our tickets online and printed them out. The e-tickets said we could receive our wristbands at the concessions stand, which was deceiving considering when we went to the concessions stand they told us to go to what looked to be a gift shop instead. We got our wristbands and the guy that handed them to us explained how it worked. There were numbers on the wristbands and we were told to go to the bonfire and watch the L.E.D. sign for our numbers, which were the last three numbers on the wristbands (we were 056-058). We proceeded our way to the bonfire and the L.E.D. sign read "Now entering numbers 400-450." We figured that maybe it will only go to 500....we were wrong. It went all the way to 951-000. We sat at the bonfire until 1:30!!! We waited for over 3 hours. Also, when the numbers got higher, less people left to enter the maze. They didn't call the next group of 50 even though, at most, 5 people from each 50 were the only ones. When we finally got called we proceeded our way to wait in a line for about 15 more minutes. When we entered the maze, it looked pretty good. But then it just dragged on with shoddy props and poor acting. Between the actors and the props, the maze consisted of 95% props. About 3/4ths through, the security was stopping the groups so the group ahead could get further ahead. We were stopped for about 15 min. We finally exited the maze. From the time we had arrived (9:30) to the time we left (2:15), the whole thing took almost 5 HOURS!!! And it wasn't a good 5 hours.
Don't waste your time with this one. They make it sound good and all but $18 isn't worth the 3 hour wait or the drive. It's an overpriced haunt. The best part: the drive home.

The first thing you notice when you arrive at the place, is an immense crowd wating in line. We had to wait roughly 3 hours behind 300 people to get in. Luckily they sell hot dogs, and soda hot chocolate and a variety of other things, along with playing a move (ghostbusters this time) on the wall inside of a barn to help the wait move along. They state that they'll stay open until the last person comes in, so I wish I had waitied until 11 to go in, since by that time the crowd had severly diminished.
The house itself once you get in is okay. First you go though a backyard trail, where there is an assortment of ghoulsih figures dressed in cotume. but all they really do is growl at you as you walk by, and aren't used to their full effect.
Once you enter the house you are greeted by a variety of actors much better than those on the outside trail. However, the bulk of the interior of the haunted house is filled with animatronics, which aren't as scary as a good actor.
There's lots of getting on your knees and crawling through small spaces, so some aspects of it are more like a labrynthine fun house.
Alot of the scenery was really good though, and alot of great props.
While it's alot of fun to go through, the wait may not have been worth it, and it could use more actors and less animatronics.
Long wait, okay rewards.

This was the best one I've been to this year. I have to say, that they got me more than a few times in this one. Great transitions from one scene to the next, and the cues as to when to move to the next scene were clear. Great use of actors and props. Little in the way of animatronics, which aren't as scary as good actors anyway.
Scariest of the season so far!

This is a good effort for a first year. I was impressed by the sets and the good usage of actors to progress a coherent storyline throughout the performance.
However, it could use some improvement. Firstly, much of the house which is in the basement of Paulo's Pizza on 51st & Howard, is too brightly lit. Particularly in the halls between sets. I would recommend at least replaceing standard lighting with colored lights or black lights, and leaving it pitch black in some areas.
Paticularly at the end with the big alien, complete blackness with a strobe light would be alot more effective IMO.
Also, I wasn't quite sure when to leave one scene and move onto the next, it could use some better cues as to when to move on.
Also, there could be some minor things of interest between scenes. Somthing as simple as hanging fabric that has to be pushed through to make the transition from one scene to another more interesting.
They do however give you a coupon for a free drink at their bar at the end.
Great first effort, but could use some improvement.

I was very disappointed by this one. There was no scares to say (three times someone jumped at the wagon). Couldn't barely see displays they did have (shining the light) and all for a lot of money. Thought about asking for that back but didn't.
If you want a leisurely hay ride then here it is for you. The small children on the ride were bored and no scares at all. Very sad. Will not recommend this to anyone.

I went to The Morgue last year and thought it was a lot of fun, so I, along with some friends, decided that this was going to be the haunted house we went to this year.
Before we went, I came online to check and see if there were any reviews on it, because I wanted to know if it was still a good one to go to. I did find one review, in which they stated, they didn't have a good time and it was not very good. I was a litte thrown off by it and a little skeptical about going, but having gone to it last year, I knew it couldn't be worse.
We arrived at The Morgue and found it to be not very busy at all. Parking was good and the wait was not terrible at all. I arrived about twenty or so minutes after the rest of my group, so they had my wristband already. If you don't know, they give you a wristband with a number on it, and call you in to the haunted house by group numbers. It is an awesome system and works very well.
Before you go into the haunted house, you have to walk through about 1/4mile dark woods. No lights or anything. Not allowed either. It was a terrifying experience for a few in our group.
After you exit the woods, you stand in an opening which has a big bon fire, and wait for them to call your group number to go into the house. Our wait was about three minutes, which was awesome, but I wouldn't have minded waiting longer. It was not cold outside nor raining.
The house was insane and filled with things you would probably never expect. You walk, crouch, crawl, climb, and slide around in there. I loved going through!! I wanted to go through it backwards when I was done.
I recommend this for anyone looking to have a heck of a time! Our group had a blast!
Awesome haunted woods/house! Not everybody has the same experience so just because you read one bad review, doesn't mean it sucks. It just means they themselves didn't have a particularly good time on a certain night. Read more then one review before deciding. Maybe opening wknd is not a good wknd to attend a haunted house.

This haunt was not easily visable from the road, but with following signs we eventually made it there. There was adequate parking. The waiting area was in the basement of what appeared to be a barn. It was cold and cramped. We were waiting for about an hour before our numbers were called even though there didn't appear to be large amounts of people waiting. When our numbers were finally called we went and waited in a tent outside (again cold). The rules were said but not clearly stated or posted. When it was finally time for our group to go in, we were given vauge directions on where to go.
We were sent off into a forest which was dark and spooky. There were many good unpredictable scares in the woods, but there were also many actors standing around. We were then instructed to go through a tank. We couldn't figure out how to get in until we saw the duct-tape arrow pointing us to crawl.
Once we were through the tank we were to knock on the door three times and wait for an answer. We knocked at least ten times and were waiting out in the cold for an answer, which finally came after about three minutes. When we were finally let into the house it was hot, humid, and smelly. The rooms were small and cramped and there were many sheets hanging in the way of walking. There may have had good effects, but it was hard to see because sheets and fabric was always in the way. The house was full of loud, obnoxious noises and there were strobes in almost every room. It became predictable. There were very few actors in the house, and I heard 3 of them talk. The rest of them were just there to lead you through the next door. If you are at all claustrophobic, or even if you're not, you may have major problems in the house. The house seemed to go on forever and with few actors and misplaced effects (animatronics were used in nearly every room and they were poorly timed and placed) it became annoying. When we exited the house (out of a smelly cellar) there were about 7 monsters standing outside. We were ready for them to chase us to our cars (like the previous haunt we were at) or maybe even just give us a little scare. Instead, many of them were standing against the house and were in circles talking amongst themselves.
The forest was a good touch, but by the end of the house I was hot, annoyed and just wanted to get out. The entrance fee of $12 was steep and honestly it wasn't worth the money or the wait.

This haunt was easy to find (located on Rural Street off of Hwy 60 in Hartford) and there was plenty of parking.
Starting at the front door, it was obvious that this was going to be a memorable haunt. Monsters were chasing people out to their cars, and you could already hear screams from inside the lobby. A tv with live feed from inside the house, which was located in a large heated waiting area, set the mood and was more than enjoyable to watch.
When our numbers were called, we filed into the front part of the house. Hearing screams from inside the house made me want to go inside and find out where they were coming from. While waiting the rules were posted and easily visable. The decorations both outside and inside the house were phenomenal. The actors did a wonderful job of setting the scene and explaining the story of the house. At one point I was scared into a corner of a dark hallway and was surrounded by monsters. We took a one way ride on the "Hellevator"....were you moving or weren't you? (I still can't figure it out!!!) There were some areas of the house that could have used more actors, and in other areas of the house, where you "knew" what was going to happen, it still gave a wonderful scare. However, that being said, the overall house was one of the best I have seen throughout their years of business. This house took about 15 minutes to go through.
This haunt was a memorable one that I would be more than willing to return to. The actors and the decorations were phenomenal, and was worth more than the $10 entry fee.

That was halarious. I don't know how they could of come up with 19 rooms of excitment! I was acually scared at this house of tarror!
Very amusing and scarry. It is laughing crazy at points and shiver in the corner scary. Overall amazinly awsome!

Where do I begin. It had been years since I had been to this haunt so i was excited to see how it had changed. The woods were too dark, found myself and my group struggeling to find the path. We made it to the bonfire and that was great. I loved the idea of being able to stand around, talk, eat, drink while wating for our groups number to be called. Then came the house, I have never been more dissapointed. I spent the entire tour watching out for my own safety as to not get hurt tripping over doorways, crawlspaces that lead to unlit drops. The actors seemed to mostly be under the age of 13 with shabby makeup wearing street clothes talking to one another as we went through the house. Needless to say it was not a good experience and I would never go back again.

Splatter Haus has moved locations in 2008, but the actors are still terrifying as hell and maintain the over-the-top scare factor from past years. Many of these monsters are also hooked up to microphones and speakers so their terrible noises and scares are sure to overpower your own puny screams. These possessed demons will fly at you from out of nowhere, but try to stick around long enough to get a good look at their amazing costumes and makeup. Our group of five included three people who were absolutely terrified and ran out of almost every room screaming, which made the experience much more enjoyable. Tickets are called in batches of 50 so you can hang out and eat, listen to music, or smoke cigarettes like everyone else. I would recommend going early because the wait will probably be over an hour if you arrive anytime after 9:30.
I miss the foreboding tone set by having previous Splatter House versions built on farms in rural settings. However, the newest spawning of this franchise is just as good as the past. There were some very unique scares that I have not seen in past years, and many of the old favorites return. While the scares are top-notch, the sets are not very imaginative or detailed. The actors are incredibly dedicated and intense, but I prefer haunted houses that put just as much effort into room design.

I was very impressed by what I saw at this place, it was pretty sweet. I'm really not a fan of haunted houses because they just aren't scary. To be honest the only reason I went through this one was because my girlfriend wanted to go and I thought it would be pretty funny to see her freak out. I have to say that this haunted house is different than any I've been to before because it actually made me jump. Most that I've been to have just been dark room after dark room with little 12 year old kids dressed in black roaring at me and that stuff just aint scary. The people in this haunted house actually put in effort and tried to scare you. For the most part most of the actors were really creepy. We only decided to go though the first house Morgan Manor and I'm kinda kicking myself for not paying the little bit extra to go through the other two houses. I plan on going back to see if they are as good as the first one.

Halloweeen is the best time of the year,Especially when you get to go to haunted houses. Wisconsin Feargrounds was absolutely the scariest and greatest haunted attraction(s) to attend this year. From the minute I went there I knew these were professional haunts. Everything was well organized from the ticket booths to the wait lines to the haunts. Don't let the calm manner fool you. Inside people were screaming and terrified of the living dead and other beings that lurked within the dark walls. Morgan Manor was so detailed with the perfect setting for a haunted mansion. As you moved through the numerous rooms there were scares from every direction and the actors were so in character, it gave you the chills and wondered if you were going to make it out. Next you went through another maze until you got to Torment, which was eerie in itself. The rooms were exactly what you expected, dark, filled with fog and terrifying shapes and living things; Many times there were things you did not expect! You could tell that many lost souls screamed from the depths of beyond as you made your way through the halls and rooms. There was that one room.....I can't describe it...you will have to go through yourself. After Torment you went to Freaky's which you could hear the not so pleasant carnival music ringing throughout the haunt. While I was in line, a girl came out stating that she had wet herself because of a particular scare. This only made the excitement that much better waiting to go in. The 3-D effects were completely amazing with the blacklights and glasses. I have never seen anything like it. Freaky's was filled with sinister clowns that made you never want to go to a circus again. The haunt was the best 3-D I have seen. Truly these people knew what they are doing in all 3 haunts. They gave scares and entertainment throughout.
I can't believe how affordable this is to go to all three haunts. You can't find better quality and price for the night of terror and fun. If you don't go to any other haunts I recommend going to this one. The actors, props, design, scares and management could not be better. A Must See!!

over all it was an awesome haunt.. the first one is the ever classic morgan manor. i have attened befor and found to very well done. This year stepd it up a notch and was far scarier then last year. The guys in the first room made us jump. They almost made my baby sister pee herself.
Second house was torment much more creepy then manor. The girl crawling out of the coffins makes me think ok the ring. also the guy in the cages was very crazy and out there. also found myself getting lost in the stobes and the room with the pillars.
Freaky's fun house was entertaining and the art work was awesome.

I have been to a many haunted houses in my time, and I do have to say in the past few years I have gone to Morgan Manor, it has grown so much. Actors get better every year, the additonal houses are beyond fantastic, and to top it off...their sets are so well done you would think you're on a movie set. Every actor was original, creative and never told me to "GET OUT!!". I really do not like that when they yell that to you!! These guys took scaring us to a new level...I LOVED IT!!

These houses ROCKED!!! First of all I have to complement on all of the details that were put into the houses. The owner(s) must really have some kind of imagination!!! Manor has the look as if once upon a time it was a beautiful house, then it turned EVIL! I'd love to describe it but I don't want to give it away. As for torment, the name speaks for its self. This house is very horrific with many different scares and a lot of them are at unexpected times! If you can survive the first two houses you end up at freakys. This house will change your entire outlook about clowns. This place really is freaky. Everything looks as if it's coming at you and not to mention the lighting was awesome!!!
I'd have to say I think the feargrounds are the best. The actors truly become part of the entire seen. This place does go really well with the story line. If you can, read the story about manor on the website and you'll see for yourself that this place really gives the creepy feeling that we're all hoping to see!!!

As our second stop in our Wisconsin Haunt Road Trip, Terror on the Fox was again, wet-your-pants-fantastic.
Terror is 3 haunted houses set back in the woods behind the National Railroad Museum, so to get there you have to ride a vintage passenger train to get to the dropoff point--its awesome. There are even actors ON the train to scare the daylights out of you!
Then there is a long, winding path through the woods to the haunts, again where you will find actors willing to scare the bejeezus out of you.
After Torment, and their 3D haunt, both which are exceptionally well done, you approach the Main Haunt.
Words cannot completely describe this amazing facade, where the actors dance on platforms, as well as jump off them.
The music is pounding & relentless, while the ever changing, and brilliant light show highlights every nuance, and tricks your mind into thinking this is pure entertainment.
Soon after entering, you realise that you've let your guard down and will be scared witless.
The geniuses behind TOTF change the sets each year, so you will consistantly see new & different things & themes each season. It's always a pleasure to see what the Bad Boys have built to strip your senses & leave you crying for mama.
Another great haunt where the Combo Tickets are well worth it. Plus, they offer a great VIP Combo, which is more than worth it on the nights where you may wait in line for an hour or more.

Last weekend we took a road trip to visit some Wisconsin haunts. First on our stops was Wisconsin Feargrounds- nightmares4u.com -Morgan Manor, Morganas Torment and Freakys Funhouse.
They were exceptional. Having attended last year, we found the ambience to be better this year than last--Morgan Manor and Morganna's Torment were better 'aged' with a true abandoned/lived in look.
The sets were awesome, with lots of detail & realism. The actors were good, none of them so much as said Boo or RAWR. Each actor knew their parts & scenes well, & more than a few had very witty & eloquent quips thrown in for entertainment outside of the scares.
The costumes, makeup, and characters were all well suited for the sets. The haunts were huge, and it seemed to take close to a half hour to go through each haunt.
The new 3-d Haunt, Freaky's Fun House was the best we've ever seen as far as artwork and sets--very well done. It was nice to see not only the walls painted with amazing art, but the ceilings & many times the floor, as well, were covered with the dizzying paints.
Many other *3D haunts* out there do not integrate actors well into these scenes, but Wisconson Feargrounds makes it work seamlessly.
As an added bonus, it was about the most perfect weather you could ask for in October.
While some haunts just have *bonus* haunts thrown in for extra fee, Wisconson Feargrounds is one of the few that makes it truly worth buying the extra tickets to go through all 3 haunts.
A great value for a night of entertainment.

Excellent!!!! They did a great job with little details and many startling effects. Very honest about the wait time(30min - 1hour) only waited 30 min. I don't want to give away any of the details so you can experiance them yourself but it is well worth your time if you enjoy haunted houses.
Great job and very well done.

Not at all what is advertised or the price listed in the paper, $12 when they charge $18. When we asked how long a wait after paying we were told they had no idea but we could upgrade our tickets for an additional $7 and not wait long at all. The bonfire was to full to even get near so after waiting an hour we upgrade so we could get in before 1AM based on our numbers being in the 600 range and they were only on 250 (we were told they were puting thru 80-100 people per hour). The haunt took about 30 min and we encountered only a handful of real actors, perhaps they were on break since they were going to be here till about 3AM in the morning to get everyone thru that bought a ticket. When we arrived we heard lots of screaming coming from the cornfield but found out it was all sound effects. Don't waste your time or money on this one there are plenty of good haunts out there.
To much money for what it's worth

Just when you don't think a house can get any better, this one does. The trail is excellent - better than previous years. The props combined with actors make the whole trail and house an adventure. Our group was on their toes from the beginning to the end - not knowing what to expect anywhere.
Also it was nice to have a place to sit while waiting and there was a movie playing on a big screen to entertain us while we waited. Good concessions too.
If you want a good scare, this is the place to be! Any wait time you have is well worth it.

This haunted house gets better every year I go. The first year with an outside part was amazing but too cold for my liking but ever since it's moved inside completely I have never had a reason to complain. There are a lot of really interesting rooms that I haven't seen in a while. They even had graves where zombies popped out of, scared the crap out of me! It was killer, no pun intened.
It's awesome this year, a little pricey but totally worth every penny!

My boyfriend and I attend the Meadowbrook Haunted Cornfield on Friday, October 10th at 9:00 p.m.. As soon as we pulled into Meadowbrook Farm the fog that was coming from the cornfield was so thick you could hardly see anything in front of you. That began the creepy feeling inside begining to stir. We purchased our tickets and had a short wait, we spent that time at the bonfire where there was a gentelman dressed in a long trench coat and large hat telling us creepy stories. Our number was called, and I have to admit that the "StoryTeller" creeped me out I was a little scared to enter the corn. We began our journey into the field where there were creepy noises that seemed to be everywhere, and coming from all directions. The fog was so thick it reminded me of the movie "The Fog". Terror began to fill my being to the point where I couldn't breath. A fiendish Werewolf with the narliest teeth I have EVER seen threatened to tear my throat out as I nearly wet myself with fear. The fog made the journey through the corn so "Haunting" and terrorfying you just never knew what was around the next corner. The hideous clowns reminded me of the movie "It". YIKES! My boyfriend had to pry my nails from his arm at points throughout this "Nightmare". I can't tell you which of the creatures that I witnessed were the most terrifying, between a pysco "Doctor" and a "Disturbed Cabin Dweller" to Unimaginable creatures that lurked around every corner! Whatever your nightmares are, you WILL find them there, I promise you that!
A MUST see and experience event! Easy to find...follow the signs. Guaranteed a good time! I will definately come back again and again.

Wisconsin Feargrounds are the best haunted houses you will ever visit. The screams of terror can be heard echoing from all over as you look over your shoulder and find yourself face to face with a disfigured knife-yeilding creature. They created a world straight from your darkest nightmares unlike any other haunted houses you've seen before. They will make you shake in fear as you round the next corner into the darkness where anything could be lurking. Their houses seem to stretch on forever as you walk through the bloody rooms filled with terrifying objects such as body bags, coffins, body parts, and an endless amount of creatures that appear from the darkness ready to drag you down a dead end and add your head to the myriad nailed to the walls.
Wisconsin Feargrounds will amaze you with its realistic detail and ability to have you cowering in fear even before you enter the house.

Every year I make it a point to travel from Ohio to Waukesha WI just to see this Haunt. It is always a blast, from the unique and creepy characters that spring up from nowhere while you wait in line to the deep dark and scary corridors of drool worthy scenes filled with vile creatures inside, everything is well done, professional and well organized. Morgan Manor and Morgan's Torment are classic well styled houses that I have grown fond of over the years. The scenes in Morgan Manor are well done and heavily detailed. The actors fit the scenes well and obviously are well trained. Morgan's Torment is a whirlwind of heart pounding excitement. I've felt jumpy through the entire house. I never knew where the next scare was coming from; they constantly had me off my guard. The new addition of Freaky's Funhouse is really cool, the 3-D Effects with the Glow Paint is impressive. If you don't like clowns this house will terrify you. If you do like them, you won't after you visit Freaky's.
This event is well worth the drive and the money. I've never left unsatisfied. Coming from a state such as Ohio that has numerous haunted houses to choose from it really says something that I feel compelled to travel so far to get my fix for a great haunt!

This was our 1st time there and we took are 2 kids one is 11 and the other is 5 so we went to the day time for the little one. These people are very nice people and have done a lot to make this a nice haunt. The only problem is for day time it should only be like $2.00 to go through. It costed us $20.00 which I thought was high for what you get during the day Since it was like looking at a halloween store displays.
We did come back since we liked what we saw and wanted my oldest to have a spooky trip through. That was really fun and worth paying 5-7 for since it was designed for night time haunts.
Something needs to be different for day time if you want to continue charging $5.00 for a walk through. Just a thought. Also we understand certian stuff breaks down and doesn't work but then you need to adjust the cost. To reflect things not working like the electric chair went through on saturday night at like 7:40 that was not working and the tunnel wasn't spinning like it was to either?
It was fun people who own this are very nice just wished things were adjusted based on price for working and non working. Maybe give Pumpkins away for kids who come during the day at the $5.00 price tag?

I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d only been to one haunted house before, and that was when I was a kid. I remember it being cheesy and stupid. So when we were walking up to the tent where they had us wait in lines and I heard screaming, I started to get nervous. When we were about to go in, and two of the people who had been ahead of us in line came running out of the haunt and didn’t stop until they hit the parking lot, I thought, crap, maybe I should have gone to the bathroom first. And then we went in and I was running… and screaming… and laughing…
What was in that toilet? And how did they know my name? Once one said it, suddenly they all seemed to know it. It was creepy, but totally ramped up the fright factor.
The first of the three haunts seemed to have a lot to see, but as I said, I was too busy running. The second… that was just plain scary. Talk about nightmares coming to life! The third… Clowns. Seriously. That just isn’t fair. And 3-D! I was so busy twisting and turning (and, again, running), looking around.
How to sum something like this up? It wasn’t cheesy or stupid. It scared the crap out of me. I screamed almost the entire time. I’ve definitely changed my opinion of haunted houses thanks to this experience. I can’t wait to go again!

This is a very hard review for me to write. For years, the Morgue has been my all time favorite haunt. Sure there are ones that get more exposure and spend lots of money on advertising, but the Morgue always blew them out of the water. While the "big dog" in town lost site of what a haunted house should be and their price continues to climb, the had Morgue perfected what they all should be: dark, scary, and priced reasonable! That's why this past Saturday was a letdown.
I'll start out by saying that we went when it was VERY busy. I've never seen so many people at this haunt before. Word of mouth has always been the best promotion, and this was proof. We were in group 261, which I believe was the last group. At $10 a ticket and between 4 to 6 in a group, that's pretty darn good for a haunt that does very little advertising! We arrived at 11pm, and took the walk through the woods which is normally one of the scariest parts of the night. Several times we saw a cluster of actors standing around talking. Sometimes they tried to scare us (a little late as we already saw and heard them), while others would just let us walk by. Several times I heard "We want b**bies", which I did NOT appreciate.
We came into the clearing, and waited over two hours! The wait did not bother me, sometimes that's the norm. They have the big bonfire, which is nice. And they have the snack bar, which is also nice. I question some of the music selection this year. Lots of Marilyn Manson, which I guess is ok. But 'When I Grow Up' by the Pussycat Dolls? Come on!!! You could tell it was getting to be the end of the night, as they were rushing people through. Near the end, they basically just said, 'everybody come in'. We were tipped off by security that this was going to happen, so I was ready. We ran for it, so we were the 1st to go through.
I'll say it right now, I was a little disappointed because it didn't seem to have changed at all from last year. If there were changes, I didn't see any... and I went through it twice last year because we loved it so much. Another disappointment was the actors. I know it was the end of the night, and they were tired and ready go to home. But they should have known that the remaining people were being sent through (at least 60 people!), and they should have been ready. Even the automated scares seemed to be off... as they would trigger as we were already past them.
Much of the house was dark and non-eventful. I've always said in my glorious past reviews of this house how I LOVED how dark it was. Now, I'm eating my words. When you're walking around in the dark for a long time and nothing happens, it's not very exciting. When we actually did walk into a room that had actors in it, they were all sitting around talking, some even with their masks off. After this happening multiple times, I started trying to scare THEM. I think I succeeded once.
Once again, the house ends with a big slide. At this point I was more than ready to get out and go home. It was only at this time, that someone actually scared me... because I wasn't expecting it. I've been waiting all year for this house to open, and I was extremely disappointed with it. I'm not sure we'll go again, and that bums me out.
pros:
- The guy doing the announcing of numbers. He did a good job of staying in character with his voice and what he said.
- Great location
- Bonfire
- Decent snack bar
cons:
- Very little (if anything) changed
- Actors who took away from the scare instead of adding to it.
- Selling novelties that light up at the snack bar, even though they ask you don't bring anything that lights up into the house. Duh!

I've decided since I had such a great time after my visit on saturday that I am going to go again but this friday. It is really great and I dont know what that person is saying about there are rooms with no actors. They are obviously lying there may be 1 hallway you may go down that doesnt have any actors but come on out of all the hallways there are us customers need a break from the fear. Last saturday I spent about 30-45 minutes in that haunt getting shivers down my spine not knowing what to expect next. I also loved the hill billy room that had the port-o-john in there with fake crap everywhere inside it and the best part when you open the door you get sprayed with water. I recommend this haunt to everyone. I am going back this weekend for another nights of terror.
I recommend this haunt to any and everyone. The actors are always on task and in character and they actually dont stop spooking up on you until you scream or get frightened.

This place is sure to give you the CREEPS!! The actors, horror make-up, costuming, and special effects were incredible. The attention to detail throughout all three haunts will blow your mind. We had heard Wisconsin Feargrounds was one of the best and just had to experience it for ourselves. The trip from Orlando was money well spent. We're 'dying' to return next year.
Morgan's Manor had horror at every turn and just when you thought you were safe, you enter Morgana's Torment. Oh my God--don't let your guard down!! You'll have terror coming at you from every angle. Freaky's Funhouse was absolutely awesome--terror in 3-D is way cool.

We got there around 7:45 and there was a small line waiting to purchase tickets. We waited by the bonfire until about 9:00 when they called our number. The scenes were ok at first but then they just got better and better the farther we went. There were plenty of actors who did a great scare and went above and beyond what I was expecting. Overall it took about 40 minutes to go through and it was well worth the 18 dollars we paid.
Great experience and will most likely attend again.

As an event lover, I like to visit many locations. Never have I been so amused with what was done with Meadowbrook Haunted Cornfield. It was a fun scene with wagon rides, a small but well prepared concession stand serving different types of caramel apples, popcorn, apple cider and other goodies, and a larger store. There is a pumpkin patch with all sorts of sizes and shapes for the yearly jack-o'-lanterns and even a cozy animal zone! Although I came in the evening to be scared, I thought I should mention that during the day this was a nice place to take the family. There was a story-teller near a bonfire area. The short wait for the cornfield was well worth it. Once inside the maze, I was quickly swept into a volley of scenes that sparked the imagination! There were spiders, a cabin scene with a twisted redneck, novelty movie characters, horrible anti-clowns and many more ghoulish delights. Riddled inside an amazing set of props and ridged motion sensors, I found that there were more than a dozen or so actors that popped out and attempted to give a good scare. I was especially impressed with the amount of detail that these characters had in their scenes! When I got to the end, I found myself wanting to go through again.
I was impressed by the level of security when they pulled a group of rowdy teenagers out for disrupting the show. They threw corn throughout the field and were very unruly in front of my group, so I was very relieved when I saw that they were pulled out only a short way into the maze. Overall, I liked the attempts the actors had tried to use to both scare me and stay in character, and it seemed like there was a lot of effort put into this establishment. All of the employees I had asked for assistance were very helpful. If you are interested and have not seen what this place was like, I suggest you give it a chance. I did, and I was not disappointed.

WOW the lines! Fortunately we were able to purchase the VIP tickets, which saved us a lot of wait time. We entered the woods through a special area and waited for the haunted train to come back to its station. We VIPs got a special car that had strobe lights and fog, along with actors.
Once off the train we came to a bonfire with various chairs and benches around. We were then offered coffee, hot chocolate and gift bags. Since a few of us got a drink, we ended up sitting around the fire for a while. When we wanted to leave someone immediately came to lead us towards Torment.
Torment- This haunt was a little short. We entered into an area that was full of insane people with a lust for blood. The actors even interacted with us. Cool but not too scary. Once we were done we went into a certain VIP area and watched a live show that the actors preformed. Then we entered the main event.
Terror on the Fox- Great fun! The scenery was FANTASTIC! Because I was in the front of the group, the actors jumped out right in the middle of the group. Which was pretty funny because usually the most scared are in the middle. I absolutely loved the scenery that was the best part of this haunt. Also they split up the men and women of our group, effectively freaking us girls out. Then we met with another interactive actor before the haunt was over.
3rd dimension of fear- This was very cool. workers gave us 3-d glasses before we entered the house. The walls were covered in neon 3-d paint, everything popped out! there was a 3-d vortex room, actors that blended in with the walls, and everything. It was great although it could have been scarier and longer.
The lines were terrible, I am so glad that we went VIP, I highly recommend doing that. The train was fun, torment was creepy, terror on the fox was just amazingly creative, and 3rd dimension of fear was very very cool. Although I wasn't too scared others in my group were terrified! I highly recommend terror on the fox, it is for charity and it is awesome, what else can you ask for?

To begin with the haunted experience a woman started to tell us about the 'history' of the farm. The first haunt is the mineshaft. They separated our group into twos and sent us off. I liked the idea of it, although I was pretty sure it was fake, I think it went under ground. I wish that this part was longer.
After we got out there was a tractor with a trailer waiting for us. Unfortunately there was no one there to tell us to get on the tractor so we stood there for a while confused. Once on the trailer a speaker began to pour out scary music and voices. The ride was pretty long. A couple actors got on the trailer. Although the surroundings could have had more actors and props, the woods and the river were pretty and scary at the same time. Then the tractor pulled us into the middle of the woods.
A man was waiting by a bonfire to instruct us through our adventure. (they broke us into two again!) This was the scariest part. Because we were sitting in anticipation for frights we were even more anxious. The woods were pitch black. Save for a trail lit by rope lights, there was no light. I've never gotten as scared as I was in this part, and the actor didn't even do anything that I haven't encountered dozens of times before! I think it was the surroundings that scared me the most.
Once out of the woods we went into a haunted corn maze. It was okay. Yet again there was no one there to control the patrons. We ran into a bunch of other groups of people. Although I'm sure the maze could have been better the actors were too busy trying to scare the people before us that they missed us i think.
Once we got out of the maze we thought that our experience was over, even though we had purchased the combo ticket. I took the initiative to ask someone about this, and we were instructed to enter the corn at a different part that wasn't lit up at all. I wouldn't recommend the maze. It was really hard to go through, and we couldn't find the non lit markers that we were supposed to locate. There also weren't any actors in the maze to scare us either
I really enjoyed the main event! I would recommend to the owners to place at least one person between each haunt so that they don't get confused. I wouldn't recommend the the corn maze unless you feel like walking for a long time.

The waiting area for lines was great, they had a granny character who totally reminded me of the creepy old lady down the street. Morgan Manor was traditional and had many different scenes and spooky sights to see. I thought the grossest room was the bathroom - a hillbilly plumber made it even worse. Morgana's Torment had many creepy actors I was so scared of them all. Freaky's Funhouse was so different than anything I have ever seen - the 3D glasses made it even better.
I would have to say that all 3 haunted houses were nothing short of amazing! All of the actors were on cue & had great makeup jobs. The people that put this together have definitely stepped it up a notch in 2008. If you only make it to one haunted house this year go to Wisconsin Feargrounds because you will get the most for your money.

I didn't know what to expect when we went to the Haunted Cornfield, and it was GREAT! It was nothing like I expected. It was great seeing that children are involved in the haunt as well. The scene setting is out of this world and all the fun tricks they have is totally unreal that it would be in a haunted cornfield.
I want to add that the characters in the field and out are great! Having the children in the cornfield is pretty creepy. You aren't expecting to see these little people running around and scaring you, but there was one that just scared the pants off me. It was close to the clown area. He/She stayed in complete character the whole time. Mad Props!!
Don't miss out on one of the best haunts of the year! Worth the time!

Six of us ladies (24 years of age) took a trip out to the Bear Den this past weekend. It was well worth the drive. The Bear Den has yet again outdone themselves! One of the girls with us was actually in tears… We left laughing and screaming so much that we were all teary eyed! If you are looking for some great scares the Bear Den is your place! I would recommend leaving any little ones at home though… it was really intense!
The haunted woods were packed with scares. There was almost no time to recover from the ‘scare” you just encountered before the next one was taking place. The hearse ride was a great opener, but the rest of the experience left you saying “what hearse?”. Crawling through tunnels, moving rooms, chainsaws… can’t say enough! It was by far the best that I have seen………. And I have been to many!

My experience at this corn maze was far from anything to brag about. We arrived at the haunt at around 9:00 and it was on the busy side as we thought it might be with such nice weather. We got our wrist bands for $18.00 then went and stood by the bonfire. The storyteller was pretty good, except for the fact he would stop ever 45 minutes or so to check with the people running the event for what numbers are beginning called, as the board displaying them had worked sometimes only. The storyteller left around 11:30 from the event as he wasn’t going to get paid a minute past then he told us. Our numbers where finally called at 12:30. We then got into the haunt shortly after that and it took about 15 minutes before we even saw 1 live actor. About half way thru the maze we had to stop as we caught several people ahead of us and one of the workers (monster out of character) told us to hold on as there was a traffic jam. Pretty much this continued on and off for the second half of the maze, even coming to a 10 minute stop 3/4ths of the way thru with another live actor who was controlling traffic. At this point people behind us are yelling just lets us get out, this is horrible. We finally finished in the 45 minutes they advertised. Over I would say without stopping probably not even 30 minutes to get thru, and only about 6 live actors. The rest of the sets in the maze are set up poorly and cheaply. They use yarn to hang from the ceiling which can get tangled and get caught on your neck or other body parts. When my girlfriend talked to the owner after the haunt he said it was security that was in charge of making sure it would not get backed up.
Overall I would say this Haunt is organized very poorly. The $18.00 price tag or $25.00 VIP price tag is very over priced. I would not recommend anyone at any age to spend their money this way. The actors that didn’t end up controlling traffic are not very convincing of being scary. The sets of horror are very poorly set up and look cheap. I will not be returning to this event ever again in my life. The walk thru time is 30 minutes maybe, and not 40 to 45.

I really enjoyed my trip to Haunt Fest. When I first entered the haunt I didnt think I was going to leave that night. :)
It is well worth every penny. There is also a wait area that really takes away the wait because of everything to do. They have a DJ,concessions, games, and also monsters. I know there was a clown and a chainsaw guy out there waiting to torture you. I would recommend getting the VIP Straight to Hell Pass. It really seems like you're going straight to hell when you enter the place. Dont let me forget to mention how great the actors were. They stayed in character the whole time you saw them. Some of them actually seemed as if they were really demons. I loved the elevator ride. That was awesome also with the little girl in there waiting to scare you. I also liked the cage maze at the end. I would recommend this haunt to anyone that likes being scared. But not for the easily scared. I actually seen two girls run out of the haunt in the first room.
Anyone and everyone should check out Haunt Fest. It's such a great experience. If you love being terrified THIS IS TH PLACE TO GO. Haunt Fest is a must go to thing. Hope you all check it out and have a great time like I did.

The Bear Den Haunted Woods really out did themselves this year. It was AMAZING and WELL WORTH THE $12. If any one wants to have a great time with friends or family i HIGHLY recommend going to the Haunted Woods.
New walkway thru the pond. Great new scares and thrills. Crawling thru a tunnel with a man and a chainsaw comming for you scared me the most. The wait was shorter than last year and had more scares then ever. THE BEST so far.

Wow what a difference 3 years makes! we attended this 3 yrs ago and thought it was great. Now i feel they missed the ball on this house, 90% of it was walking through complete darkness and when you finally came into the rooms there was little effort ftom the actors and the scences were not very impresive. Th sign at the front said it was menned by the Brillion highschool nad it showed, at one point where ther was a girl stomping her feet , she actually screamed out "dont touch my f**cking bike". Not very appropriate for highschool kids . There were many steps that we tripped over and we actually ran into a pole in the midle of the door in complete darkness, they should warn visitors of these hazards before someone gets hurt. I did not find this huant to be very fun nor scary at all, with no imagination put into it. When i finally turned on my phone light to see if there any more hazards, a boy told us " that just takes the fun out of it". I replied with the fact that they did that as soon as they shut the door.
If walking through complete darkness with limited action is for you , then you will love it. But for those who love the excitement and thrills of a good haunt, you may want to look elsewhere. In summary they missed the ball!

This haunted house was very fun. If you go, I suggest going through both haunts because I liked the second one a lot better. You should go with a group of your friends to make it more fun. I'm a major wimp. Last year I practically chickened out, but this year I went and I didn't think it was very scary. It was more fun. So remember to go first!

This haunted house rocked! It totally scared the crap out of me! I liked that they sent you with only the people you came with, no strangers were added. Our little group of 4 was all over 30 years old, and screaming like little kids. The actors did a great job, we had no idea what to expect next. Line wait was pretty short, less than 30 minutes. I didn't really see any actors outside, but once you were in the house, there were a lot of them!
Highly recommended, super scary!!

I really liked the effects of this haunted house. Lots of cool rooms to go through. I really liked the fence maze, vortex room, and the inflatable hallways to squeeze through. It seemed like it was really big, it took us quite a while to get through.
This haunt was a lot of fun to go through, pretty long, definently worth checking out. Definently more fun than scary, possibly because we were put in a group of 7.

We went with our kids during the day time session. During the day it was fun but not very scary. There is a novelity shop that had a variety of things from cheap to a little more pricy. A little for everyone. They also had popcorn and beverages. There was a pizza stand on the grounds that is trying to make money for the stoughton youth center. They also have a large sheltered area for the wait to get on the wagon ride to the grave yard, or to eat your food (thay have a few picnic tables). The price was nice at $5 per person and 3 and under free. During the day they have tour guides and no spooky coustumes. We went back that night without the kids and it became a whole new experiance. There were many ghouls, surprises in the woods and in the barn. I don't want to say to much about what is in store during the evening and ruin the surprise. We had gone at night last year and alot has changed. There were quite a few new additions. At night it is scary. The extra $2 (the price is $7 per person at night) is well worth it. The ladies at the door are vary nice they asked us for comments and suggestions so they could improve the barn. They really care about it being the best it can be.
Over all it was a good experience. My children (they are 5 and 3) loved it during the day (even though they were a little scared). Then the adults got to enjoy a more intense experience at night. I will go next year if not again this year.

Oh my bahjeeeezus! Splatter Haus has officially become my personal "scariest ever" haunt!
They moved the haunt this year and the new location is super easy to find even for the most directionally challenged (such as yours truly). While signs enroute wouldnt hurt it didnt matter that there werent any as the directions are very simple. You definitely know you're there when you see the very well lit, very well staffed parking lot with tons of free parking.
Upon entering I thought it was pretty cool that the only line you have to stand in is the very short & fast moving ticket line. After you buy your ticket you can go inside or outside, sit down or stand, hang out with your friends, get something to eat or drink, use one of the gazillion port-a-potties, whatever you want to do- you just wait for your number to be called. It was nice not to be forced into long roped off lines for hours. I was lucky to go on a really nice night but if you're cold and want to remain inside they have 6000 sq ft of waiting room and a good variety of refreshments and music playing.
I cant say enough things about the staff inside and outside of the haunt! All the staff are amazing! They're efficient, super friendly, outgoing, and helpful. These were people who seemed to really love what they do and it showed, no matter if they were in the parking lot, refreshment stand, ticket sales, line organizers...all of them were awesome.
The scares were full on and intense! The FX, the make-up, the timing were all magnificent...the best I've ever seen by far. The Actors? AMAZING does not begin to describe them. I've never seen a better bunch. I've never seen more enthusiam and dedication at a haunt...it was refreshing! These actors REALLY seemed love what they were doing and REALLY worked their patooties off to scare the ever-lovin' pants off everyone! I was truly in awe of the originality, the hardwork, and the fact that *I* a self-professed horror buff was scared outta my ever-lovin' mind! I recall on more than one occasion my "fight or flight" kicking in, my heart beating so fast & loud I could hear it in my ears, and me walking that very thin line between fear and all out panic...but I loved every minute of it. There was a great mix of gore, in-your-face scares, sounds, and darkness, there was never too much of one so there's definitely something for everyone. The entire walk-thru lasted about 25-30 mins, and you never once bumped in to the people ahead of or behind you. The REALLY cool thing was that with the sounds, music, and the entire setup you couldnt HEAR when a "scare" was coming either which I REALLY liked because usually you always hear people screaming & yelling so you kinda know when to expect something. You were definitely kept on your toes which is the way it should be!
All in all I cannot get over how awesome Splatter Haus was! I cant think of one single thing that was disappointing or could be done differently. This was honestly the BEST haunt I have ever been to and after years of going to haunted houses and usually being let down or just having an "ok" experience I am so happy that I finally found "the one".

This Haunted house ROCKED!!!!! Well all three were absolutely the best thing i have ever attended. This night was very special cause of the old screaming granny who apparently is a guest, she was funny. The first house, Morgan Manor, was awesome in every way it was very well detailed and the actors were wonderful in every way. The same can be said about the second, Morganas Torment, the make up was amazing and it was shocking to see all the characters take so much passion in their work. Now the third Freakys Funhouse, was just that Freaky and very Fun, this 3D attraction was the coolest thing i have ever seen and I will definitely be returning with my friends.
While waiting in line there is plenty to see such as the many roaming actors and the other patrons that are dooking it out in the boxing ring, there are even actors in the ring for you to cheer on. After the wait the tour begins, once they set you on the way you are on your own through the giant Victorian style mansion. After that there is a maze that separates those who are continuing on and those too scared to continue. The second is more of a torture area for the victims that didn't survive the first house. Moving on to the final house, it entertains in every way, i dont want to ruin it, so go on and see them it is well worth the time and the money.

I was a little disappointed with this attraction. While we were waiting for our number to be called, there were a few actors that were interacting with the guests. This is great, if the actors are able to entertain the guests in some way. Now the house.
The house seemed a bit short. Each of the scares were pretty predictable. The layout was not that great. It had some neat concepts, but the rooms didn't flow with each other. With wide hallways and poor layout, you could pretty much tell what was coming. There were some really entertaining actors, but not enough to carry the load.
Poor actors, and poor layout really hurt this attraction. Getting stuck behind another group really spoiled any surprise that was coming.

I had such a blast at this haunted house. I've worked for a haunted attraction for 6 years, and I was really quite blown away. The actors, for the most part, were very good. There were a few actors that gave the tired unproductive "stare-down."
You start on an outdoor trail that leads you into a house. A few actors here to set the mood and get you ready for the nightmare to come. The hallways were narrow so it kept you guessing for the next room you are going to enter. This really kept you guessing. Each room had so much going on, so you never knew where the scare was going to come from.
Such a great attraction and by getting there around 8pm we only had to wait about a half an hour.
Great attraction and well worth the $12 entrance fee. I'm from Milwaukee, and it is definitely a great alternative to driving out to Splatter Haus if mileage is standing in the way of a great fright!

I really enjoyed this Haunted House more than I thought I would. There were many new and special effects and there was no downtime through out. There were many real actors hopping out all over. I liked the stroll first through the little wooded area. It was really scarry. It was also longer than expected. The only warning would be for anyone who could not crawl on their knees, there were 2 spots where this was necessary. Although I'm somewhat senior I was able to do this and it made it more interesting but just something to know. I'm sure most people who go to these are much younger.
I really wanted to go through again to see the things I missed the first time but everyone in our group agreed that this was one of the best for scenes and scares that we've been to and we've been to alot.

This haunted house is amazing!! I'd honestly have to say there is no other haunted house like this. I doubt any haunted house would use a vast majority of the characters in this haunt. The wait wasn't that bad Ive had worse, the actors always were in character, and best of all you didn't know what to expect next.
This haunt starts with a tale which I have yet to see at any other haunted house I've gone to so far. Utilizing 4 floors gives it that little extra. I never thought I would see any of the characters in this haunted house ever in a haunt they are so out there (I'm not going to name them I'm not a spoiler) All I have to say is this haunted effing rocked!

Was a very intertaining haunt. Had a lot of fun there! Wait in the beginning was indoors with bar, pizza, and video games. Went to the final wait and the guy that was there was very funny, and made for a good start.
Good haunt, extremely fun and entertaining, not really scary but fun. The guy in the beginning made time go quickly, was very funny! Did't like how they survey everybody as they are walking out.

Was a ok haunt for being close to home. The actors were pretty good, great interaction in the waiting line, nice that they had port-a-poties right there!
Great atmosphere using the old building, good scene setup, plenty of free close parking. The wait wasnt too bad.

The outside is spooky and the signage makes it easy to find. Over all it's very well done since its done by a bunch of kids but at times its easy to forget that. The "button psycho room" involving a guy laghing maniacly and accusing us of stealing his button brought my daughter to tears after he played a trick on her. Very Creepy! There is also a room where a girl comes crawling out of a tv set and a clown room with actors that play some of the most disturbing and creepy clowns i have ever seen.
Overall one of the best houses I've been to this year and definately the best north of Oshkosh!

Great house this year. The elevator was different in the sense of one does not expierence this in every house. Great job this year guys!! Will look forward to next year!
Again great house. Decent amount of rooms this year. seemed a little shorter than last year, but was very fun.

Signage / Visibility / Location
The haunt in general would be hard to find had I not known the area. There is very little signage and everything is dark. The only way you will see the entrance is when you drive the entrance the hearse is parked out near the entrance. I think a little lighting and a few more signs would go a long way with this one.
Wait Area / Line Entertainment
Waiting area is quiet large and indoors in the horse stables. There was no line, only one group in front of us. Outside the waiting area there were refreshments which are always a plus.
Actors' Performance
I think that since there was no real crowd the actors performance was lacking as at one point in the haunt an actor was trying to set us up for his scare and said “uhh… just go ahead” and then the machine went off as we were already walking away.
Sets Scenes / Props / FX
Scenes throughout the haunted house were in general all the same which was depressing as every room for the most part included a doctor with some sort of body.
Length
The haunt took about 10-15 minutes to get through which is relatively fast compared to others in the area, which could partially be part to the limited people at the time.
Crowd Control
There was no crowd so I cannot comment on this, but the house does use a wristband system, which is followed by a wait through the line. Groups of six are the maximum at a time.
Most Memorable Moment
After entering there is a balloon like walk through which takes advantage of those whom are claustrophobic. On the flip side it’s got to be similar to child birth.
Summary
I would say the haunt is definitely not worth the $13 for the first part, nor the $18 to get the second smaller add on. I would recommend this haunt to people under the age of 14 as I feel the scare factor is very low on this one.

While i waited to go in, there was a DJ to dance to and one of clowns was outside dancing with me and my friends, it was fun. The elevator was one of my fav things, also they have alot of creepy things this year, i loived the glow in the dark skeletons and the maze at the end.

Three haunted houses in one location, I was hoping to review each seperately but this site does not allow that, Morgan Manor was awesome as always, Torment was even better than last year when it was picked as the best haunted house in the area. The new one, Freaky's is so totally different it amazed me. 3D glasses and things just pop off the walls, it was hard to tell what was real and what was not. If you love halloween and haunted houses, make sure you do all three. Cost wise the price is so much better than places with just one haunted house. All three for one low price, I can not wait to go back again.
They keep improving everything, from the wait area to the haunted houses, it is obvious the people who run this are professionals that pay attention to every detail.

Adrenaline- This traditional haunted house was the first attraction we visited. I was very impressed by the scenery and how long it was. Because this was the first day, perhaps, the actors seemed to miss their cues. We often passed them before they popped out. Their makeup looked very very well done, and unfortunately the lighting wasn't sufficient enough for us to see it. The music was cool, they had the Halloween movie theme song playing towards the end.
Phobia- It was the second haunt that we went to, and I was sorely disappointed. There seemed to be about 5 actors in the forest, and one didn't even get up, and we could tell they were real. The setting was amazing, it was just a forest and that in itself can be more terrifying than an actual haunted house. One actor actually started dragging his feet in the gravel while he was following us, which was about the scariest part.
Insanity- This was my favorite attraction. While waiting in the short line one actor (Randal) walked up to us and started interacting. The greeting actress was very nice and added to the allure of the upcoming event. She walked us into a room in which we watched a movie and she warned us about running into walls (which people apparently broke their noses by doing). The actors in this one knew their timings well. They were acting insane! and they had us do weird things with them. The people from the burial chamber should advertise this haunt more than the other two, it is VERY original and it played on a very primal human fear, and that is being afraid of people that are unpredictable, which these insane people definitely were.
Overall the number one rated haunted house in Wisconsin disappointed me. I drove all the way up from Waukesha county to visit this attraction and was in anticipation for something spectacular. Phobia wasn't organized and the actors didn't seem committed. Adrenaline was a pretty average haunted house and that is just what it was, average.

Ridiculous! It was sick, seriously, sick. I loved all three haunts and to have them in one place was madness. The effects and rooms in Morgan Manor were amazing. The ending of Torment had us all messed up in the head and Freaky's was a really cool, different style of haunted house compared to anything I've EVER seen. Great job as usual. You guys are the best in the business. If you only go to one haunt this year, make it the three at the Waukesha Expo Grounds...sorry, Waukesha Feargrounds.
The three haunts were huge and they were definitely worth my trip to Waukesha. The detail in these three haunts is more than anything I've seen in any haunt in Wisconsin. With so many rooms to see and the theming of all the sets were just amazing. I was really amazed at how far Morgana's Torment has come too. For all the awards that Morgan Manor has gotten, Torment was right up there with scares and details. Great job to the actors who were in it all the way through. Excellent haunt for the price, you really can't beat doing all three.

Overall, I think it was a very good time. Just in time for Halloween. It took my group about 45 minutes to get through the entire maze. There were a lot of scenes with great detail. Looks like a lot of time was put into this field. The actors did a very good job of surprising us and continuing the "scare." Being able to 'wait in line' at a bonfire (with storyteller!!!) was of course an added perk. The store is also a nice thing to walk through/look at while waiting as well as the concession stand.
Our group was also there early enough to pick pumpkins and look around at all the animals. Also a good time while you're waiting...
I would recommend this Corn Maze to anyone... over the age of 12. It will get you!!

Very short wait, but the actors were very bad - not all of them, but most. I felt bored halfway through the house. The 3-D aspect is stupid. I was expecting things to be jumping out at me, there was just some paint on the walls that glowed
Overall it was not very good. Many rooms had not actors in them. It seemed very short and definitely was not scary. I did jump one time. The house could be pretty good, but again - the actors stunk. You have to walk on a short trail through the woods to get to the house--and that could've been scary, but there were no actors.

This being the first year in the new building, the Splatterhaus crew did a fantastic job. The waiting area is huge and much nicer than being outside also the wait wasn't very long but we did get there early in the night. I don't usually jump but they did catch me off-guard a couple of time. I liked the fact that you didn't run into another group and get bottlenecked in a maze.
Directions were easy to follow but you do have to watch for Columbus street...it sneaks up on you. The only thing I suggest is a lighted sign at the corner so you know where to turn.

The new location is not hard to find, follow directions and your there - easy. Not a long wait and the indoor waiting is nice. The event itself seems like past years, that's not to say that the show isn't good..it is. But the guys a Splatter Haus seem to have hit a bit of a rut with much of their rooms repeating the ideas of past ones. For those who want an intense, full on, haunted house Splatter is your haus. Good show and delivers for the trip and is well worht it...does need a fresh injection of new ideas....Splatter actors deliver in every room and sights and sounds are unlike any other. Good timing, never saw other groups - felt like we were the only ones there. Recomended.
For years Splatter Haus has been dishing out scares for the haunt goer looking for a loud and intense show, this year is no different. If you go expecting this type of show you will not be disappointed. If you go looking for a new and different show you will recognize much from the past. The fun factor is always high but I was forced to lower the fear factor due to the lack of fresh ideas. Still a great show and although Two Rivers is a long trip it is worth it to see a haunt that pulls out all the stops to scare the S*%T out of you.

Instructions to the house are very easy to follow, especially with the street signs all over the place.
Once you arrive at the haunt, you are able to park for free and enter the school's gymnasium for covered and heated waiting. There are even refreshments and arcade games.
And then you get led to the haunted house, which is actually an old house located on the school's grounds. It was built in the late 1800s and the look of it just gives you the creeps. Hubertus House of Horror is a wonderful haunted house! All of the rooms are always creatively designed and look AMAZING! Some are very, very creepy, while others are just pure awesome, such as the swamp room, where it looks, smells, sounds, and even feels (light rain from ceiling) you are in a swamp. You are walking across a bridge "in the middle of a swamp in the woods!" And then, all of a sudden. . .well, I won't give too much away. In addition to these wonderfully designed rooms, the house features a few pitch black mazes that you have to feel your way through and may even get shocked here and there! There is even a 3D maze! Before entering the house, you enter a dark and foggy bus with a very angry bus driver and have a very horrid and frightful ride! After going through the house, you get "spun around" a bit while going through the amazing VORTEX!!!
I had a GREAT, FUN, and FRIGHTFUL time at the Hubertus House of Horror and would recommend it to anyone!

Splatter Haus was definitely worth the drive and price. We arrived and got our tickes at abound 10:30 and were told the actora were on a 25 minute break. This was fine, we had time to smoke a cigarette and get some popcorn and hot chocolate while we waited. Once the line started moving again we didn't wait more than 20-25 minutes. All of the workers were friendly and outgoing, and they have a good system for keeping people in the groups they came with. Once we got inside everything was well timed, monsters popped up when they should, and we never ran into another group. Even for us seasoned haunted house veterans there were a few new tricks and a few jumps and screams. The only quibble was that it was too short, I left wanting more.
Highly reccommended. I felt we got our money's worth and had no regrets. One other note: The waiting area wasn't heated. It was warmer than it was outside, but still chilly, have a jacket.

Overall this was a disappointment. The maze is long, and it's obvious a lot of work went into it, but there is nothing new or unexpected. It took about 40 minutes to go through (not running) and we only saw 6 actors the whole way, and there was very little interaction with them. The most interesting part was the security guy who decided to follow us through about half the maze... I would have been happy with the experience if I had paid mybe $8. For $18 it was a rip off.
The bonfire, petting zoo and little shops could make for a nice night, but the maze itself is disappointing for the money.

We went last year and thought it was just okay. We went again this year, hoping that improvements had been made. We were wrong. Lots of the rooms had no actors in them and were not scary nor creative. How many haunts are now having vortexes? Why can't we come up with something original and new? Was not worth it, even with a two dollar off coupon!

The Dominion of Terror is a fun haunted house. The rooms are widely different and the live actors are commited and keep character well. The rooms are clever and well designed and the actors are fun to interact with.
Its a solid haunted house with clever and detailed rooms with commited actors and lots of scary in the dark moments.

My friends and I took a trip to West Bend to take a tour through the corn. We got the directions off the internet and had no issues getting down to where Meadowbrook Farm is located.
The actual farmstead is really neat. They have a gift shop and petting zoo nearby. Everything where you wait is really decorated nicely. It looked like a really neat spot to bring kids during the day.
We sat down by the roaring fire that they had prepared. We were entertained momentarily by one of the many fine people that were running the event. Even though it was there first night and they were still working out many of the kinks that seem to commonly occur on the first night, the attendants were always kind and courteous and ready to answer any questions you might have.
The trip through the haunted corn field was one of the best I had ever been to of its kind. You could tell that they really worked hard to set up a specific atmosphere. This is a close, almost clostrophobic, adventure through narrow cut passages and through a large variety of different scenes. Everything from Aliens to pirates roamed out in the dark corners of the corn.
Though, as it was the first night, at the time it seemed like they might have been short-staffed. They were short on live actors at a lot of points and relied largely upon static and mechanical scares. It was really fun, though, and they work very hard to make the experiance an enjoyable one for the people that come through.
So, don't let the mist scare you away. Brave your fears and venture into. Who knows? Maybe you will join them...forever...

This was my first time out to Historic Mitchell Street to go out to this haunted house. I was impressed with the sights and sounds of this trip through the second story of this old building. You could tell that the group that runs this is a set of veteran haunters.
The scenes and acting were great. I thought some of the rooms that were the best were the ones that played off what they had, a truly great location. The laboratories and the insane asylum-like sets were some of the best I had seen in a while. A lot played on that sort-of late 1800s set, though still with all the great set-ups you come to expect from a haunted house (killer clowns/freaky gothic characters/etc.).
Their actors were all very intense and were not at all afraid of being right up there in your face. From strange shadowy women wandering around the room with you to creepy rednecks and their grandmothers, all of the actors knew their lines well.
It was a fast paced, gritty haunted house with true character.
The only thing I would recommend, if you aren't familiar with the area, would be to give yourself a few minutes to find it. It being it's first weekend and with only a short line in front and also due to a lack of any major sign (at least that I saw). I found it a little hard to locate exactly where the haunted house was at first. Don't let this scare you away before they scare you away, it was a good time and I would recommend it to anyone who has not gone down to Mitchell Street yet to see it.

What is more scary than a murderous clown? What about the full menagerie from the circus that the murderous clown comes from?
One of the things that this haunted house excels at is the quality of the actors that inhabit the it. Every actor from the fortune teller to the freaks in the freak show excel exceedingly in what they do. They give you a lot interaction and stay in character the entire time. It was my first visit and I was very impressed by the quality and energy of all their actors.
The theme of the haunted house was appealing, as so few haunted events can stick to a theme or a single storyline. The true horrors of the circus come alive in this carnival to the senses. The entire haunted house is a real disorienting trip to the horrors experienced within. Beware the fun house! Beware the freak show!
Finding the haunted house wasn't hard, but finding parking down near the haunted house was a challenge. The trip, though, is really worth it.
This had one of the single scariest scenes in any haunted attraction that I have been in for a long time, though I won't give it away. Be ready and beware!
You have to experience it for yourself. So, get out....join the show.... and laugh yourself to death....
