Summary
I was very impressed with what Terror on Rural Street has done this year. Rooms have a totally new look this year over what they used to be, it has more of an urban look to it and we liked it. We visited on their opening night and while some actors could have been a little better I would not hold that against them seeing as that it was their first night. Many of the scares come from out of nowhere and were well hidden. I donât know what âwiththelotusâ is talking about in their review about being bored; we were certainly anything but being bored. There is stuff happening all around you. Also not to give anything away but the end of the house is awesome, you never would expect it to happen. Once again the people at Terror on Rural Street have done a great job, I would recommend visiting this haunt.

They emailed me saying I should come and see their haunt that was open Nov. 7th and 8th. I thought cool, another haunt to see with Halloween over. We were disappointed with the majority of the haunt. Waited 35 minutes to get in and there were only about 20 people at the most in front of us, that was ridiculous. There were a couple of cool rooms like the barrels and the guy hanging from the ceiling but that was about it. I don't know where all the high wattage sound stuff that they talked about was but I did not hear anything much at all. Not much dialog in the rooms except for "get out" or "get out of here". Not worth my $8

Summary
Splatter Haus has always been one of my favorite haunts to go to and this year is no exception. The sound is out of this world like it always is. The monsters hit their cues when they should and the house as a whole is great. Some of the rooms were sort of the same as last years house but they are in a totally new location so even though some of the room ideas were reused they are different because of the layout of the house. We showed up on a Sat. night and were lucky to get there early because by the time we left the line to buy tickets was getting pretty long so if you are planning on visiting Splatter Haus take my advice and get there early if you donât want to wait a long time. Even if you would have to wait a while to get in the house is still well worth it.
I also really liked the video game they had in the waiting area. You get to scare people inside the house and watch it on the video screen, great idea!
If you want to visit one of the best hardcore in your face haunted houses then Splatter Haus is for you. I highly recommend it. Note to the Splatter crew: Keep up the great work and I canât wait to see what you have in store for us next year.

Summary
I have made it a point to visit Terror every year since they started and it was always a really good haunt. I say, âwasâ because something is different this year. The house was not scary at all and just did not work. The sets are the same that has been in there for several past years and I wish they would build things new. What was really poor when I visited was the acting of the monsters. I had one tell me he lost his dog and then started to call out for the dog yelling âFluffy, Fluffyâ. I had another monster that was saying, âI want my mommyâ I donât know what is up with that but it sure is not scary! The rooms could have been o.k. if the actors would have been better but they were terrible. You go outside into a grave yard which was a neat idea. At the end they had a guy with a chainsaw but there were security people standing all around hanging out with him so that was lame. I was really disappointed that we waited to get into the house as long as we did and then have it so bad. Note for Rural Street next year, get things back to how you were in years past and build some new rooms.
