No hayrides. No escape. No mercy.

Dreadwood is an isolated, undeveloped forest in Hudson, WI. It is not a park surrounded by neighborhoods or filled with cabins. When night falls out here it is very, very dark.

At the entrance there will be snacks and hot and cold drinks available for purchase, both while you wait to enter and after. There will also be a public bonfire after. Provided there is an after.

You should expect to walk a half mile on a dirt path, so dress warmly and with comfortable shoes. You should expect the unexpected, at times graphic, at times offensive, and always unsuitable for children. We cannot stress this enough -- what we show you will be disturbing. Those who are faint of heart are welcome to stay safe at home.

Above all, expect darkness so deep, you cannot see farther than the path directly in front of you. You will be provided a guide, and your guide will know the way. You MUST stay with your guide. There will be no turning back, no side-doors or escape routes — once you have entered Dreadwood, the only way out is through.
