About Us

HauntedWisconsin.com was started by the husband & wife team of Andy and Jennifer Meier in the spring of 2000.

The idea for HauntedWisconsin.com began in 1998 after viewing several sites that listed haunted attractions throughout the U.S. Most of these sites provided little information, and the information that was provided was usually out-of-date and had no information on how to contact the haunts.

After finding some in-state only haunted house directories but none for Wisconsin, we decided to start HauntedWisconsin.com.

In the beginning, our only goal was only to provide up-to-date information on haunted houses in Wisconsin. However, since that time the site has grown considerably and new goal is to keep Halloween alive in Wisconsin. We've done this by providing information on additional Halloween events and information including a listing of pumpkin patches, trick-or-treat dates, times and safety tips, and visitor submitted reviews.

In 2006, we added Dan Strelecki as a staff member to help out with promotions and lead our new Review Crew.

None of us have ever owned, operated or worked for any haunts. We all have full time jobs but enjoy working on Haunted Wisconsin in our spare time because we all LOVE HALLOWEEN and are proud to say that we are committed to being Wisconsin's source for everything Halloween in Wisconsin! She LOVES to torture Andy and Dan... and to decorate for Halloween. She somehow manages to sneak more Halloween decorations into the house every year.

Dan Strelecki Director of Communications and Reviews (a.k.a.: Lysergicerberus, a.k.a Grandpa) Email: dan@hauntedwisconsin.com Dan is our promo man! He's in charge of the Review Crew, distributes posters around town, does interviews and anything else we force upon him.
